You can just go to control panel and uninstall the program..

You referring the Q drive as the recovery partition or the hidden partition ?

It should be hidden..

If you have create the backup disc then it's ok to delete the recovery partition. Otherwise, just leave it there you never know when you need it.

As mention by lee_what2004, Q partition usually use by Microsoft Office. from the Disk Management you should see 4 partitions, OEM, recovery, C and E.

hi all XPS gurus,

I am currently considering XPS15z. Would like to get some advise here. I need it mainly for usage of Autocad with no lagging problem. Can this model above handle Autocad application? The specs seems to be high though...

My last experience with an i5 proc, 2Gb ram & 1Gb GPU was not good as everything application went slow after the Autocad installation.

Yes, it will still be there, unless you delete the partition.

Format will make the laptop boot faster, until you start installing software.

You won't see much difference compared to the Core i5, since the Core i7 in XPS 15z is just Dual Core, a higher clocked Core i5.

Thanks, which means I should be getting at least a Quad Core 2.0. How about the graphics?

Graphic card shouldn't affect that much if you got the decent one, nVidia GT525M and above since they are GeForce card, not the workstation Quadro type..
If the AutoCAD is utilizing OpenGL, better avoid AMD graphics that utilize auto switching.

Can you try disabling your network card, see if that helps reducing the red bar?
