I'm on firefox, I use firebug a lot so moving to other browser is not an option for this moment. What addon did you use, will it automatically set the zoom level for every tab we open? This was also issues with other application such as skype, it's damn small.

Anyone else experience any issues with sound? I have this static or buzzing sound when connect with headphone. It's not constant but, it happen just random.
I have update driver, download new realtek from Dell website. Uninstall driver, re-install. uninstall then run ccleaner to clear the registry. Restart to install default driver, disable enable. I have also run Dell PSA, speaker was good no problem.
Anyone experience this? I guess this maybe issues with Win7 64 bit, so far no solution yet.

I download the DPC latency checker, run it and don't really know how to read the result. Guess the problem was the Realtek driver, I try disable driver according to DPC checker, one at a time in the device manager. I managed to minimize the static sound in my Headphone, now the noise in my speaker is gone. But the headphone has this high pitch static sound. Guess the XPS come with build in sound and I am using AVF headphone, has also try with other headphone. This post has been edited by therion: Oct 29 2011, 09:40 PM

QUOTE(Maverick_Neutron @ Jun 22 2011, 08:06 PM) when i got the laptop with all the included crap-ware, on standard 500gb hard drive, I think i clocked around 57 seconds. It's considered not that slow la.. if you want, you could reformat and use the provided cd to reinstall everything, this completely removes any crap-ware, but you'll have to download the latest drivers though, the included driver cd have some out-dated ones. In my setup, I ripped out the hard disk after first boot and plonked in my old ssd, reinstalled everything, now it boots within 15 seconds. thx dude.. the thing is when i bought my laptop the media kit cd was unavailable so now i don hav the format cd. hmm do u think i can buy it from dell now ? owh guys hav u ever experienced that your laptop screen blackout for few sec then come back up saying intel driver R is not working but had been repaired this sort of things. Why you need to format? You can restore you dell system to factory image from advanced boot options, you can vie here for step-by-step: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/glo...6&isLegacy=trueYou can partitions your C:/OS, shrink it a bit a create another partition. Move all your files to this new partitions, if you already have partitions just move all files out of C:/OS. Restore system will only format your C:/ drive, so all other partitions is good. Just to be safe, maybe you can burn or copy them to Ext HD, but this work for me.

You should see 1 for C:/OS and another 1 for your partitioned drive. Then simply restore factory image, it will format only drive C, so all your files in the other drives are ok. Anyway, you maybe already know this, but worth mentioning here. You can try disk clean up, error checking and defrag on both drives. Then, just put your system on hibernate instead of shutdown. Waking up you laptop from hibernate mode are much faster then fresh boot, it takes about 15-20 sec. This post has been edited by therion: Nov 4 2011, 07:20 AM

The recovery kit will restore the OS and the Dell bloatware as well.. If you want to remove the recovery partition, open Disk Management, from there you can delete the partition.
