Just ordered mine. Call sales rep but say no discount on XPS but Inspiron can discount. Hope it is a good buy.
Added on April 9, 2011, 12:15 pmFor those using the B+RGLED, how is the viewing angle? Can it be compare to the screen Macbook Pro? I went to AppleStore and see the screen in person and the viewing angle is great. Went to Dell store and see the WLED 768p is not so good (sorry, no pun intended) and decide to upgrade to 1080p. I never see the viewing angle for the 1080p but fellow forumers said good things about it so I made the upgrades. Macbook Pro is also a TN panel and not IPS. I expect it to be more or less the same. Any thought? This post has been edited by lotiman2003: Apr 9 2011, 12:15 PM |

Anyone upgrade to Belkin EVO bagback? It is so damn small as it barely fit the XPS 15.6 into it.

QUOTE(TheWandererX @ Apr 17 2011, 05:21 PM) I have it. The top part barely fits, but I find it still acceptable as the cushioning on the bottom/side/front is really nice. It can also fit the laptop with the 9-cell battery, no problems. The inner zip will touch the notebook corner right? Will it scratch the silver aluminium body?Just got to squeeze the top part of the laptop in at times. Added on April 17, 2011, 5:22 pm Your best bet is to call them and ask for a thorough explanation. I got mine. And I don't know how to explain it - it's complicated. Good luck. |

QUOTE(TheWandererX @ Apr 19 2011, 04:33 PM) Nope, it fits super perfectly if you know how to put it in. Just put the laptop in, pull the zip a little higher, and fit it in. The problem is after you put it into the bag and once your carry around the unit will slightly moving inside touching the inner zip rail. There should be some friction between the unit and the bag. |

Hi guys,
After using the B+RGLED screen, it is hard to use back the normal screen. I'm currently using the old DELL ultrasharp LCD monitor for desktop and it is pale in comparison to XPS B+RGLED. Now trying to find a replacement for it and looking 21.5" LED backlit screen. Any recommendation which offer the same B+RGLED quality color, sharpness, etc. |

QUOTE(submariner @ May 19 2011, 11:25 PM) Dell told me that my new XPS 15 will arrive in 2 - 3 weeks time, but it came in 1 week! My screen is fine with pure white. Did you increase/decrease the contrast? My L502X came with i7-2630, 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD, 2GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 540M graphics with Optimus and 15.6" (39.6cm) FHD (1920x1080) B+RGLED display with TrueLife. So excited when it came much earlier than expected! When I turned on the notebook, I thought something was totally wrong, the screen was yellowish when I turned on MS Words. Shouldn't the background be white? The yellowish was an eyesore. I couldn't bare to look at the screen for more than 10 minutes. Anyone with this full HD screen have the same problem? I called Dell TS and relate my disappointment, but they told me that this is the latest RGB+ LED design that the screen looks yellowish. What's more amazing is that the Dell TS solution was for me to downgrade the screen to 15.6" (39.6cm) HD (1366x768) WLED display with TrueLife or replace the system with an Inspiron 15R. Added on May 19, 2011, 11:28 pmMy new XPS 15 with 15.6" (39.6cm) FHD (1920x1080) B+RGLED display with TrueLife looks yellowish on a white background. Anyone with this full HD display, please turn on your notebook and open a Words document or notepad, and check if your screen is yellowish? Please reply to me if you encounter the same issue. Thanks. |

QUOTE(razven @ May 30 2011, 06:46 PM) Planning to get the xps 15 L502X ... However if i were to get it from the shop, they dont offer customizing options like upgrading for the 1080p screen. I want to upgrade the screen, wireless and etc. Is it possible to call Dell and ask them to send it instead of ordering online ? I live in Kuching and there`s a Dell service centre nearby ... Can i visit them and order there ? Why you don't want to buy online? Online delivery is quite fast. What about the goodies and freebies ? Thanks |
