Hmm..according to the info in the 1st page, I think my signal reading is quite...err.....terrrible....

For SNR Margin, I constantly getting less than 7dB for downstream but my upstream is 18dB, which is borderline OK I think.

My signal attenuation is constantly more than 50dB for downstream and my upstream is about 20dB.

But even though my signal reading is quite bad from what is stated in the first page, I don't experience frequent disconnection. In fact, my connection is quite OK. There is one little issue though, the speed will not last long and will degrade over time.

I can get more than 100 kb/s download when it first started but eventually the speed will go down over some period of time and in the end, I'll be forced to restart my modem to get back the speed.
I wonder if this got something to do with my signal reading. I have been facing this kind of situation for so long that I think its normal for Streamyx. Now I'm not too sure.

Besides I'm not too sure whether my interpretation of the signal in my modem page is correct. I have attach the screen shot of my modem below. Hopefully the master here wil take a look at it and give me some advice.

Btw, my Downstream Line Rate has dropped to around 1100kbps lately. When I first upgraded to 1mbps, I can easily get around 1200 ~ 1300 kbps. Sometimes I can get 1400kbps but lately its getting harder to pass 1100kbps. I'm stuck with 900kbps for a whole day when I connect during the weekends

I'm not too sure whether I should complain to TM or not. My only concern is that they don't entertain me only.

i have frequent disconnect and the modem shows no DSL signal at all , called TM few times and they sent technician to check , every time b4 the technician come , my line will become ok so at the end they unable to tell what the problem @.@

technician suggest me to change the telephone cable over the ceiling ( from the pillar outside to phone) , they said that is not in TM's business, have to call private contractor or they can change for me personally at RM80 :S i decide not to change at last becoz a friend of mine said he have same problem as well any idea ?

I want to ask is out there anyone facing the same problem like me do?
i`ve been using streamyx for 3 years plus for home and my office.
i think started 6 month ago my connection keep lost its data...which means the data led either become red or no light while my dsl keep blinking(means keep calling)
Is this some of streamyx way to promote unifi?This problem started to come arise when i receive few call from streamyx asking me to upgrade my subscription to unifi but i refuse and i get this kind of problem alot.In 1 week i might get 2 to 4 dc case and sometime 1 day i will get 3 to 4 times dc....ZZZZ
i`ve called to streamyx but no one can answer me what is my problem.ZZzzz(this service provide by them but dont know what answer????)HALLO wake up streamyx this is not the way of promoting your unifi.

Hi all, I'm using TMNet Streamyx 1Mbps package. Staring from 1 month ago, my connection is pretty unstable. the connection can self disconnect for numerous times in an hour and it happens whole day long. I need to keep on off my modem. And most of the time it just show: connected but with no/limited internet access. Can any sifus here help me?
And by the way, how to check (step by step, noob here) whether i'm miscapped or not. Thanks a lot ppl!

Hello, i cant surf net when i turned on my pc the next day. I checked this guide and when i tried to ping the gateway of tmnet the results were all timed out. What does it mean and any idea how to solve this?

i have problem with the streamyx connection. my SNR margin is between 0-15dB for downstream and 15-23dB for upstream, while my line attenuation is 56dB for downstream and 35dB for upstream.

i only get internet connection if i remove the telephone handset from its base. If i put back to its base, the SNR margin will go down up to -0.7dB and subsequently loss.

i believe it is a cabling faulty from TM since my phone line is over 15 years. Should i complain to TM for the cabling replacement or any other ways to rectify this problem?

My router (Zyxel P-600) is having frequent disconnections when on WiFi on my Dell Latitude D630 but is fine on a Macbook. I can only surf smoothly when directly connected via cable.

I've read through the guide on 1st page but have no idea how to do all that on my router.

I'm using a 1Mbps Streamyx package, and I used to have 512kbps Upstream and 1024kbps Downstream. Currently I'm getting random values between 100~200 kbps Upstream, and 400~700kbps Downstream. I am not sure whether this could be caused by a sabotage or a failed repair as there was an event where by a technician was supposed to fix my phone line(still had internet connectivity but phone's completely down), but in turn caused my phone to fail(back to square one, as if there wasn't a repair) and my internet to slow down. Am I a victim of mis-capped bandwidth or was it due to a failed repair?

seem lot ppl wanna know about tm backbone i will upload some basic streamyx introduction to u all.. may it help u @@.... but only in da house...DONT EVER TRY TO PANJAT THE TIANG DP BY USE SELF....FAILED TO DO SO ON UR ON RISK ... hahhahahahahaha ( other dont ever think about to open the fiber optic box at ur place)
