Hahaha very nice. But sometimes we already knew that from what we have seen in BPL, La Liga etc but it's very difficult to apply when we're playing football ourselves, you need experience to do that. Unfortunately i didn't have much.

so you are a goalkeeper also...i am also a goalkeeper.... in the situation, by right, the opponent will just ignore it... but in this case, the striker should not have charged at you...the ball at least must reach their side of the halfway line..
we can look it at a few angle..but the ball already being played back into the game and u have cleared the ball but not strong enough.... this is consider fair play already..they had already 'make way' for you already... so in the future..ask ur defence dont do stunts and give you a high ball... play back the ball.... to me this is consider fair play already |

That's how u improve bro, especially playing against bigger, faster and more skillful people. At the age of 14, I start playing with those 20yo ppl because not many my age that time plays football at the local park. In a game, I will only have like 2-3 chances to shoot, and I gotta make full use of those chances. Screw up once, they won't pass to you anymore, just to their own friends. as for myself, i am uncomfortable to play with people foreign to me. More to do with skills issue than race.. It's that period of time I think I improved the most..right now I'm 21, don't think I am any better than my 18yo self, maybe a bit better in stamina and tactical play, that's all |

its nice to play football on the field (for real, not gamers, fantasy football or even futsal). I dont play basketball nor games generally accociated to one 'race'
of course its a bit difficult for some these days as it requires a around 15-18++ players (team inclu subs) to build a local club football. I was involved way (way) back then, there are weekly matches, even in friendlies we had proper 'men-in-black' officiating. To FLampard, its was a lesson for you. but in every game its different, esp sometimes you know the oppenents are so strong they can run miles around you. we were a loosely assembled team of friends with a good round mix from indians, chinese, & malays. In my earlier playing days i had the opportuntiy to play against ex-malaysian internationals (santock singh (once), khan hung meng (2x) ) with their clubs. they were much retired & but playing against them was like chasing shadows. how was its like before playing them. i'm afraid we approached it quite negatively, got whacked by players almost 15-18+ years older then us. (we were quite awed by the occasion but i wont use that excuse). in our team, the malay boys were quite skillful too, our forwards were usually 2 indian chaps & a singh (somehow they have the speed but wont last much as these friends of ours werent fortunate as their parents are people of means). they travel to matches by public transport & sometime we pick them up from bus stations. the others travel there either by car & even kapchais. We had a 'playing manager', & yes he can be quite tough, dropping a player if he knows 'physically or mentally not up to mark". But at times he has to give in because we arent 'real pros' but a bunch of mainly semi-serious player enthusiast. if you go beyond to a serious compatitive game, its good. then you'll see sometimes its isnt as simple as 'talking' armchair football. some of us are as expressive in words online but may have a better grasps of the game having played on the 100mx120m breath of the field. it also nice to chalk up trophies with your team, i had my little share. something i really treasure (photo(s), now if i can remember where i put that photo This post has been edited by koolspyda: Dec 6 2010, 04:38 PM |

QUOTE(FLampard @ Dec 6 2010, 06:22 PM) good for you.have far the dreams do you want to go? [edit] just read your post. staying local pro or catching the big league overseas? (I think its a lot harder even if one is good) i'm not sure the governing rulez now on plying outside..if one is not a full fledge pro locally (yet) but sometimes its gotta be a lucky break or knows someone, somehow we msians lose out physically in build. yes there are lots of talented footballers but we arent technically as those countries who start with kids at a younger age. I had a friend who dream of testing waters in europe many years ago but found out in UK the africans trying their luck there were 10x better than the best asian kids (in terms of stamina) there were lots of kids thinking they were the next maradona or hoping at least (the idol then). those days local msian football were plagued by who's who, i'm not sure now. we had a lad who was good enough to play for the arm forces team in then the malaysia cup but coulnt get a sniff into a 'glamour' state team. my guess things have improved a lot these days but we may still have some stone-age mindset officials running the the local pro league.
