i have seen Selangor team clearly indicating that they will stop play and kick the ball out due to their own player's injury...

everyones stops play anticipating him to kick it out.. he kicked it high cross field towards the touch line ..but "miscues" it and the ball stayed in and received by another Selangor player on the far side...

to the horror of the opponent, insted of passing the ball out, he start to attack from there while the defensive line all over the place already stopped playing...

he passed the back to center.. 1 on 1 with keeper...goal..

needless to say they claimed no whistle from the referee...

thats profesional football for you..

how is this football related? I mean, well it is FOOTBALL, bt whats the point of this thread really?

Its not like u see people starting thread about them playing football with their younger siblings at home, breaking vase in Football Lounge just because well, its football  shocking.gif

unless well, maybe u trying to tell us, to have confident, but in that sense, its kind of invisible to me
*
the point is he discussing these little things in football that you cannot see or exprience by watching football on your couch or at mamak stalls...

this is real life things that you can learn from other people's experience. this is about him. not about his opinion on some millionaire mat salleh who lives thousands of mile away..

its refreshing to say the least..

i dont agree that he should put it in an umbrella thread. those sort of thread will only create niche participants and we cannot create a general opinion and discussion as people outside does not know what current topic is discussed in there..

so u are cool with the thread "i played football with my brother type of thread" here? eg of content I play football with my brother. I broke a vase  icon_question.gif

I'm alright with all his topics like Throw-Ins, then theres the rule that book the players for "Let Go" coz those are football discussions. What discussion is this bringing then? It just doesnt seem like a blogger type of post in his first post to you, isnt it?
I did something real stupid today, we were having intercampus football tournament (all campus over the country gather at KL for football tournament) and i was suppose to start for my school.
-already sound like what i will write in a diary, but alright, situations needed to make a clearer view of the topic

But then i saw some of my opponent looks pro, i told the captain that i feel nervous and scared.
-Personal view of the writer, feelings. What you feed a diary coz no one is looking

then he took me off the starting line ...wtf...i feel so frustrated weih
-sounds to me like a rant on the internet/ur personal diary. eg: mum scolded me. dam!

at the end i played 15 min only,
-more life story

i did well and proved that im the player he will not want to miss
-lolz boasting(this is not diary material, but im just saying it for the fun of it.

but f*** weih i cant believe im sub.... so f***ed up ... =,=
-woots, i remember alien2003 said before that even if u mask your fouls, its still "warning-able"
Wait, wheres the discussion of the topic then? What do we think of your captain? Or.. was it the attitude that u wanted to talk about?

If this goes on, im pretty sure this lounge is going to be flooded with every experience of his football tournament. eg: i scored a goal, yay!
*
yap i have no problem with"i played football with my brother type of thread" here. if you dont want to share your experience, why stop him from doing so..

and i dont think you have the right to scrutunize his style of writing. If we start doing that, this truly wont become a "FOOTBALL" lounge anymore. Try discussing what he want to say in there instead.

And i do think this "LOUNGE" would be more happening if EVERYONE share their exerience in real life tournaments. i myself would be interested to read and discuss about it. Especially those little things that Sebby Singh or Dez Corrkhill not already covered with.

right now the patern of this LOUNGE is everyone so boxed in discussion about their own favourite foreign clubs.. there is not much interaction to discuss anything besides that..

Please either do this in Kopitiam OR create a blog to do this then post the link in the signature.

The forum ain't the place to let your express your personal things like this.

For the record, you had done this more than once:

1) i said something stupid and was benched, =.=

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1663519&hl=

2) fair play problem, my blunder almost gave away goal

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1660859&hl=

On a second though, I merged the second thread into this one and will keep it open but do not create another thread for another issue. Rename this thread to a suitable name and use it.

Thanks.
*
i dont think posting it in a blog or in /K/ will get him the feedback from general serious football activist as he required.

But your idea to rename the thread each time base in issues sounds reasonable..

something along the line of how good communication skill with your coach is an underated detail easy to be ovelooked by young football players.

Personally i think his coach overracted. if he know his players ability well, he wouldnt make last minuted line up changes just because one of his players make a too positive remark about the opponents.

how about if you approach a group of foreign Chinese to play football ? would you be as uncomfortable?

i know you are not cynical and meant no harm. But making a decision base on racist issues in still racism.. cheers..

if that so, that its their problem.. you are alright... but have you approach them though?

as for myself, i am uncomfortable to play with people foreign to me. More to do with skills issue than race..

That's how u improve bro, especially playing against bigger, faster and more skillful people. At the age of 14, I start playing with those 20yo ppl because not many my age that time plays football at the local park. In a game, I will only have like 2-3 chances to shoot, and I gotta make full use of those chances. Screw up once, they won't pass to you anymore, just to their own friends.

It's that period of time I think I improved the most..right now I'm 21, don't think I am any better than my 18yo self, maybe a bit better in stamina and tactical play, that's all laugh.gif
*
thats why... at my age i am no longer thinking of improving myself.. just want to a have a good time releasing my sweat.. but at the same time i dont want to stop ultra-competetive people to have their fun..

President Cup are compulsary U-21 tournament for all M-League Teams.. a buffer zone for future senior fooballers... i dont think your team can enter them that easily...

dont forget to document your experience here what ever you can...

i expect wall and walls of words tongue.gif

P/s - dont let the inner circle thing stop you from doing your best... even if you cannot make it, at least you can say to yourself that there is no more you can do differently...

i really dun understand wat meant by inner circle...

u mean existing players? or those players who have good relationship with the club? etc admin's son, manager's son?
*
like normal job interview, i assume players who already in the system... meaning have experience with other President Cup team before... sport schools graduate .. or acquittance with the coach from previous engagement might have early advantage..

of course what i really want to know is until what level that is true or false..

dont forget to contact them personally through phone or email to ensure whether pre-registration is required. You dont want to haul yourself all the way to Bangi to only see everything by the sideline now do you.. tongue.gif

auch... 15 minutes only... i was afraid it comes to that... i dont think thats good enough time to make a decision that can change a player and the club's future.. what can happen in 15 minutes is just pure luck or unluck i think.. i think 3 x 15 minutes multilevel trial would be much more ideal to see a player's consistency and ability to improve...

...in the first 15 minutes you might still not totally warmed up yet

granted 300 candidates is too much for a day trial... i was expecting around 70... maybe to cutdown from 300, they would do specific ability test first before they hit the field..

what do you mean by "send-the-ball-to-KLCC clearing technique" ? High but no distance?

there was even no warm up, i didn't do any running , just stretching a bit. and my first touch on the ball was in the field already...

it was terribly crowded, can see in the pic.

lolz my coach always joke with me, he say if i have no way out....just send the ball to KLCC, means far and high, sadly i didnt do that today...
*
yeah.. propably a thing you can learn from this is condition at trials is not guranteeed totally ideal to your condition...

next time ... if things can be properly prepared.. come with a few mates and a ball so that you can pass the ball around while waiting to calm your nerves and warm up.. jumping into a 15 minute trial without a proper warm up is just ... well you are fighting for your lives on the word go...

so the coach gives indivual comments or anything?

no individual comments, imagine hundreds of ppl how to give individual comment lol.

he only said learn the right technique, and the fact that we are still young , dun give up on football and come back again next time.
*
yeah.. that whats i thot too....

personally i think one day trials such as this are bullshit with the amount of candidates to choose from... they can have a better assesment by sending scouts to tournament...
