Ahh I see. I just updated that app. Yeah, I see the white light was choppy but in previous version, there is a pop up saying "your phone is samsung galaxy S there might be some graphic issues, continue?" Most probably it's the game's incompatibility towards the phone rather than the phone.

Yup, some of us already laid out the points. But also, iPhone users are usually those money-come-easy fellas, they dare to spend. Partly also because Apple has so much control over their apps, that their apps tend to be "just good/working." They feel secured. That's quoting one of my iPhone friend.

People like me, visually-prioritising, when I download apps from market, most of them don't look good, they don't have systematic functionalities like in iPhone apps, they don't have standard template, they don't have standard resolution or even button functions. Then, I'll uninstall them again or refund my money. There are very few visually enhanced apps/games that I like and keep. So, sometimes I go for pirated version to begin with, and if I like it, I buy it.

Hey guys, look. I am running Gingerbread. Look at the wifi and signal icon. lol.

Because storage and memory management is different. I got some data loss, but it's very minor. Like some widgets didn't appear when I didn't shut the phone off properly.

Yup enabled it long ago since K9. But no, I didn't have custom bootanimation but I customised the bootanimation so that it didn't have sound. The sound irritates me everytime I turn it on it's so loud.

Anyone realise the vast improvements of the GPS? Just tried it. It locked on before I even get to set navigate to my home. Turn on Papago at traffic light, boots up and traffic light turns green, quickly press menu and navi and there, voice navigation starts. Quite accurate and I tried to change my direction it got confused for 2 seconds but got back on track.

If flash to Doc's rom, just make a folder name "disable_lagfix" in Voodoo folder and restart. Then just flash to Doc's rom. It's with Speedmod kernel. It's a full rom, no need anything else.

Wah.. DHD price is really tempting. I'd jump boat if it's confirmed.

Smoothest? It's really passive. I am happy with ext4 without journaling for now. The risks are the same with ext2. Some have better experience on ext2 though. And no, ext2 by itself is suppose to read memory faster than ext4, but on loop it's just looping meaning the memory undergoes another loop through the filesystem. correct me if I am wrong.


Personally, I'll wait and see what's coming next year. I'll probably wait for Tegra 2. Rumours say that our GPU might be as powerful as a one core Tegra 2, which I think by next year we still can't fully use 2 cores. Meaning, SGS might stay in one of the top phones for as long as mid next year. But I'll still wait for early 2011, SGS is not a cheap phone and it's not easy to change phone.

I am not much on linux, but I did read that with ext2 loops, data is not written spontaneously, it is stored in buffer and not in physical files. Edit: Not finished. LOL. So, technically, it improves efficiency of IO.


Hey guys, I've seen the patent files from Apple, I don't know the source though. It has 3 new patented features upcoming on the next gen iPhone 5 it seems. One of them is the Near Field Communication technology, it's a little bit different from the Google one. Next is, haptic feedback and fingerprint acknowledgement on the touch screen. And lastly, it's the RFID something something which I did not understand.

It improves IO efficiency. But I don't see any changes in quadrant and I prefer data to be written. So, I don't use it.
