QUOTE(chris7524 @ Dec 4 2010, 11:47 PM) I'm using "Get Position Test" in LbsTestMode to get GPS lock. It can be accessed through secret code in SGS Tools (apk). i also try gps test..but sometime it lock very long...or it just detect the satelites but could not lock my positionAfter GPS lock, Papago will easily detect your position. |

QUOTE(lch78 @ Dec 5 2010, 01:26 AM) I read somewhere before that iOS revenue strategy is different from Android. iOS apps revenue base has to be from consumers paying/buying whilst for Android it is based on ads revenue, means the more ppl use your apps, the more ads you sell and the more revenue you got. In simple terms, the ads money will help pay the developer. Some developer don't want ads revenue so they can still opt to sell it direct. After all, Google own revenue base is selling ads.. if using network google map works but the satelite does not lock....i use papago which is offline navigation so network is uselessAnyhow, I see there are pro and cons for both type of system. The good thing for Android is, consumers at least got to choose which one to go.... Now this reminds me of the funny comic posted by freakfingers a few pages back.. If you use wireless/network, can it detect your position? I see majority SGS users don't have this GPS problem here. Maybe it is hardware related somehow... Still under warranty? |

yeah!!! got my gps to work already...even could lock indoors...just wanna share so those with gps can't lock position like me could try..here is what i did..
1) go to settings>location and security>use wireless networks off..use gps satelites on and use sensor aiding on.. 2) go to dialpad and key in *#*#3214789650#*#* to enter LBS test mode. 3) application settings: tracking, s/w test, standalone, hot start, gps plus on, dynamic accuracy on, accuracy 50,gps logging off.. 4)SUPL/CP settings: AUTO Config, SUPL secure socket on, agps mode SUPL.. 5)press back out to homescreen and reboot... 6) go back to settings>location and security>switch back on use wireless networks...try go out and test ur gps now..should lock ard 10-20secs or faster... hope it works for u guys too...this is on stock froyo btw... |
