QUOTE(Tentris @ Dec 8 2010, 12:26 AM) its a coincidence. I appreciate for your efforts.please do not subscribe to these conspiracy theories. tm is a bit dumb, but they are not evil. just like when streamyx was suffering, some people said everything was fine, Unifi is fine, and there will always be some people who have problems. if you don't know what's going on, its sometimes better not to speak than to speak about what you THINK is going on. create panic and hatred for no reason. But, I have to disagree with the bold part. You said they are not evil, but now I see them doing evil things. Also, I hope there will be no more members from LYN's TM Defend Force posting defends post in this thread. This post has been edited by cshong: Dec 8 2010, 12:37 AM |

QUOTE(Tentris @ Dec 8 2010, 12:37 AM) When we're angry or upset, we tend to exaggerate things. Yes, it apply here. Sucking people's money, tell lies, cheat people, brainwash people, these are evil things, and TM is doing all these.Evil is a very serious thing. It doesn't apply here over something as benign as internet connections. This post has been edited by cshong: Dec 8 2010, 12:40 AM |

QUOTE(Tentris @ Dec 8 2010, 12:42 AM) If you think that lying and "sucking money" is evil, then you probably haven't seen the real thing. Tell lies to parents are different from tel lies to customers. Sucking money without doing things for people, mean the customers do not get what they had paid for, this is one of the evil thing. Trying to brainwash people, making people believing somethings that is not true, or making people believing what they had done is for people's own good but actually is just to cover up evil plan, this is also very serious evil activity. Taking advantage of customers, this is again evil activity. Not only these, TM had done others also.If like that, i'm evil too for all those years i lied to my parents and using their money to party when i should have been studying in uni! |

Server congestion, too many users, traffic management, etc. Lame excuses. We should NEVER ever believe what the evil TM said.
Even if too many users online causing server congestion is true, TM should have expected this will happen, and should have expected this since they start their business. They expected it, but take no action to prevent it? This post has been edited by cshong: Dec 8 2010, 12:57 AM |

QUOTE(phenally @ Dec 8 2010, 10:48 AM) This is the reply i received from TM for my office streamyx Expected standard reply, copy and paste.Dear Sir / Madam, Telekom Malaysia Bhd wishes to clarify on our Fair Usage Policy (FUP) and address several comments on allegations of a 'hard cap' for international bandwidth being enforced by TM. We would like to assure you that it is not, in any way TM's intention to enforce any 'hard caps' on our customers. As a matter of principle, however, TM needs to abide by a FUP to ensure that the network caters to all customers in a fair manner, and this has been in place for a few years for Streamyx which is a contended, best effort service. This means the Streamyx network is catered to be shared by everybody at any point in time to ensure everybody gets a "fair share" of the bandwidth. ( ....More like we dont care what kind of speed u can as long as we can screw all our customers! ) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Seriously, It just a bunch of craps without identifying the problems or solutions. |

QUOTE(Tentris @ Dec 8 2010, 12:13 PM) Lol. Tell me what is wrong with paying more if you use more? Same like electricity and water. Use more, pay more. It is wrong for TM's case because we do not get what we had paid for, + the service (with or without cap) does not worth the amount we pay for.If you use less, then you pay less. Plus, this thread is not for defend TM. If you want to defend TM, go open another TM defend thread instead. This post has been edited by cshong: Dec 8 2010, 12:40 PM |

QUOTE(biatche @ Dec 8 2010, 12:50 PM) Good post. Obviously Tentris is already brainwashed and biased. If he or they wanna talk about FAIR. They can (obviously they won't cuz they wanna earn) provide us with market pricing and features. The highlighted statement is exactly what I feel about Tentris.http://www.speedtest.net/global.php#0 Let's see.. asia average is 7MBit. Alright. 7MBit. Pricing.... aint too sure, someone suggest. Alright, malaysia avg is 2.69 dl and 1.23 ul... Now that ain't right, right? 1.23 upload? Brought up by unifi testers? Now I realize, a poor country like Mongolia has faster internet than us. LOL! Hello mongolia tallest building: http://www.mad-mongolia.com/news/mongolia-...sky-tower-3628/ Then below that is a country called kyrgyzstan has 8mbps avg. Fail humans in Malaysia. |

I laughed when I look at the Wikipedia article. However, doesn't matter the name has been changed to TMnut / TMonopoly or even Traffic Management Net, I don't care, none of my business. Plus, even if that does not happen on Wikipedia article, TMnut reserve all the bad names.
I even can call them TMf*ck or TMsh*t. Don't misunderstood. I am not the one who edit it. This post has been edited by cshong: Dec 8 2010, 04:23 PM |

QUOTE(Tentris @ Dec 8 2010, 04:30 PM) Obviously lah. If use more pay more. Use less pay less. That's the whole point of a utility model. Do i have to spell everything out for you? How much does the service worth for? Unlimited plans or plans with limitation, how much does it worth for, according to today's market price for the whole world? No, actually, i give TM a chance to get a better grip on their distribution of resources, and i am also want consumers to get what they pay for. TM's whole capping exercise is crap and prone to error. This is their current model of bandwidth distribution and it sucks. 4MB paying customers getting 0.5MB speeds. That's total BS. But TM has no choice simply because bandwidth distribution demands that limits are placed at location or user (A) so that location or user (B) can get some juice because location or user © is downloading porn/ubuntu files/movies/gaming 24/7. If users are made to pay for what they use, then you will see what © will very quickly either control his online activities or if he is too far gone as a content junky, then subscribe to one of the unlimited plans and pay for it. Either way, this increases bandwidth availability for (A) and (B) -- © either uses less, or his extra payment will be used to upgrade the bandwidth further. This is the simple utility model and has worked for decades with electricity and water. TNB buys more power or builds new power plants when people use more power. How can they afford to buy more power? Because the users of power are paying more and more for the more that they use. The ones who use less, of course will pay less. You said, "Its hardly the same as the bandwidth which we already have, its there." <-- come on, how do you think bandwidth appears? from thin air? magic? Bandwidth is not free, and its not cheap. Increasing bandwidth capacity is not just a matter of building more exchanges or pulling additional undersea cables, but its also building and/or buying the infrastructure and bandwidth credits from suppliers in USA/UK/EU/Korea/Taiwan/Japan/etc. If you want to learn more, i suggest you read this: http://www.isoc.org/inet99/proceedings/1e/1e_2.htm Added on December 8, 2010, 4:32 pm That report is incorrect. A case of a technician who wants to tai chi a customer away to someone else so that he doesn't have to deal with the complaint. Yup, that's the first time a TM employee has done something like that. THE VERY FIRST TIME. lol. You want customers pay the amount that the service doesn't worth for? To be fair, and to make sure customers only pay the fees which the service worth for, I suggest the following: 1. For 1mbps users, the fees are RM5 for 500GB, and RM10 for unlimited. Oh wait, 1mbps package doesn't even worth that price, so RM10 is considered expensive already. 2. For 2mbps package, the fees are RM10 for 500GB, and RM20 for unlimited. Oh wait, does it really worth RM20? 3. For 4mbps package, the fees are RM15 for 500GB, and RM30 for unlimited. However, even 4mbps with unlimited usage doesn't even worth this price. |

TM defenders should go GTFO and STFO. Get out of this topic. We don't need you. Or better, go die. These people living in the world will only make those evils become more and more evil. If any bad things happened to those TM defenders, they get what they deserved, no one will feel pity for them.

QUOTE(wongpeter @ Dec 8 2010, 05:13 PM) evil??!! is this a discussion on morality or ethics? wow, i must have missed something. The "evil" refer to who, I think everybody know. I no need to explain. Unless if you are really an ignorant, I no need to tell you who that "evil" is."siding on the evil side'? - it's well and good to stereotype ppl. simpletons needs everything spelt out in black & white.... good & evil. that way it leaves no room for intelligent discourse. he's evil, he's good! get a brain! The reasons for this cap things are very clear. Everyone (except those brainwashed users or ignorants) know that "heavy users" is just an excuse, the reasons behind are something else.
