switch replacement? sorry for my ignorance but what is it actually? i tot the btu connect to the dir 615 router then i do vlan tagging to my custom router right? where does the switch replacement come in place.

thanks in advance notworthy.gif

You do bridge mode is when you use your own router together with the DIR 615, and that is one way of reducing the load and "increasing" the reliability of the DIR 615 in which the DIR 615 handles vlan tagging and your router manages incoming traffic(that's what I understand so far). Another way to do it is by purchasing Mikrotik switch, thereby eliminating the usage of DIR 615 that does everything which inlcudes vlan tagging, ip tv, internet(connects to your custom router) and little configuration is required and you are good to go.

The whole idea of using Mikrotik switch is just replacing DIR 615.

It's been a pretty f***ed up 3 days for my WoW guild. Packet loss to multiple WoW tunneling servers in the US making the game pretty unplayable from 6pm-1am.

No lag because it will have dedicated bandwidth and not sharing with your internet connection on PC. But their service always down. icon_question.gif
