seems like lot people fed up with Lycosa already.

Arctosa is almost the same thing with Lycosa but without the lighting. The extra backlit feature need a lot of power and bringing lot problem to the keyboard chips, cause it die off faster.

Most of here experienced Razer's quality control ^^

lol lucky i bought arctosa instead of lycosa. what's the problem with lycosa anyway? because i use arctosa for like.. a year.. but no problem at all. tongue.gif

Common issues for Lycosa both the normal version and the mirror edition :

1. Random keys not responding
2. Stuck key (pressed only once but the key keep responding over n over again)
3. Media panels not working

When any of above happens, user have to unplug and USB cable and plug it in again to temporary resolve the issue. The problem will manifest again after a while.

So to all Lycosa users and potential buyers of Lycosa, take note of these problems....if you guys do some google, u will find that this issue has been around since 2007/8 when the first Lycosa was launched. Was reportedly overcome by Razer and claimed only happens on 2007/8 batches only....but in fact it still happens to today's models as well as the mirror editions, the 2010 models are all still affected. Which also means, even when you get it claimed for warranty and being replaced with new units, the problems will still exist!

which also equals to that razer did not do anything to counter the hardware problem.

Anyone knows what is so good about the Tron Mouse? It just looks nice to me.
*
And don't forget to check which grip type are you using to hold the mouse. I wasted some cash just because of incompatibility grip VS design.

TRON mouse is for Finger-tip Grip only(dimension-wise).

Yours is the small version??
I feel good to bring it along with laptop since it really small.
Every time I brought my DA or Ikari along use it at university very catching attention, people's first impression is your mouse so big.

Yea mine is the super small version.

It is good to be attention catchy, albeit you are being labeled as gadget freak ppl will have two impression, either you are just brandishing some exp stuff, OR you are taking good care for your gaming feel and needs. LOL thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

But at the end of the day, you still have to get something that you like. If you like having the backlights and extra USB + audio ports then by all means go for the Ultimate.

i agree. example : 1 day you go buy normal blackwidow, then you realised it didnt satisfy you. so you wanna sell it, (at lower price) and go for ultimate. it'll be a waste of money here. tongue.gif

Ya, agree with you too. Backlights are uesfull in the dark and extra usb ports are less messy.

Anyone knows what's wrong with my Mamba? I can only right click and unable to move the cursor. I tried the Mamba on other computer as well and also face the same problem. Anyone faced this problem before?

Did you flash the firmware and re-install the driver? How about using it with the wire; do you have the same problem? Mamba is a screwed up mouse, never ending problems and terrible battery life smile.gif I got rid of mine just a month of ownership, totally gave up.

It has been ok all this while until I boot up the computer today. I've been on wired mode for the past weeks as I'm using the computer for longer hours to prevent the hassle of charging the mouse. I don't think it's the driver problem since normally the mouse would work normally on a new computer that has not used the mouse before?

If you are having problems when it's wired then something is terribly wrong. I have a friend which he has to RMA within the first week of the same issue, the mouse cursor is not moving at all even in wired mode.

I've used many Razer products and I have the Black Widow Ultimate. So far the most problematic product is the Razer Mamba and really not worth the price! As for the keyboard, it's working fine but the ticking sound is quite loud though laugh.gif

Which happens to be one of the selling point as well, the amazing clicky sound when the user is typing. Typewriter feel makes it great to use for typing. biggrin.gif
