God damnit..i feel sick right now..freakin sick..!!!

Let's see how much chances we missed to get a second goal:

1. Lovenkrands one on one with Cudicini..missed = Best would have scored that like against West Ham
2. Ameobi shot on the turn..good effort, good save by Cudicini..
3. Ameobi free header from the resulting corner = Carroll would have scored
4. Ranger miss = Please explain how on earth this kid got a hatrick in the reserves this past week..I'm wondering if I have new friends who now know Ranger's finishing quality is not as flashy as his hairstyle suggest..looked like a girl..

N Barton was not at his best today..his misplaced past when we were 4 on 2 before the equaliser summed up his performance..

That was 4 great chances for us to wrap up the game..would have been a different story if Spurs we attacking us like crazy..we were lucky Modric hit the bar but apart from that, it was comfortable..

I would have been happy with a point today but just like against the mackems, conceding so late made a draw feel like a defeat..the team will now be short of confidence every time we reach the 90 minute mark..we need to quickly get rid of this habbit..even better, learn to score a second goal for God's sake..

We are in 7th place now..same number of points with Bolton and Stoke but 7 points behind the mackems..need a Chelsea win over Bolton on Monday and then we will have a game in hand..that will make this result just a little bit better..

N our next game is in 10 days time against Fulham away..bad for us because we will have this 10 days to ponder over the 4 dropped points.. but 10 days to heal injuries..Guthrie was injured..Nolan was a bit injured..Barton was tired..we are short of midfielders..makes Pardew regret bringing in Tiote against Stevenage and makes Tiote look stupid for his needles red card now..hope Carroll heals for that game too..

can anyone comment on Jonas?
couple of times i saw him trying to dribble but most of them didn't went on...

and why was Perch on?
*
Yaa la..forgot to say..Jonas was Man Of the Match for me..it was between him and Simpson but seeing that we conceded that last minute goal, Joans was the man of the match..he was on the left, on the right, in the middle, helping out Jose..and he also had Modric's boot in his face when setting up Jose to cross the ball to Best who hit the bar..Jonas was everywhere..and today he put some of his best crosses into the box..

owh..is it me or does anyone notice that Jonas is better crossing the ball with his left foot than his right? I have noticed his crossing with the left boot will reach the players in the area..with the right boot, rarely it gets past the defenders..although yesterday he put one great cross in with the outside of his right foot..brilliant today Jonas..

Perch was on for the injured Guthrie..we had no other midfielders on the bench so Perch came in and sat in the middle of midfield for us..

Did anyone notice Barton was rarely on the right today? He was more of playing in the middle? I guess he has to play two roles as holding midfielder and right midfielder at the same time..

another thought, since our finishing is so poor, maybe can get Shearer in to sharpen the lads finishing skills ... i know that's not going to happen lol
*
Tino Asprilla was at the match last night..he took the crossbar challenge and only needed 2 attempts to hit the target..pure class..would love to have him on the pitch to finish off Spurs yesterday..

Tino was giving no less than 5 CD's to Peter Beardsley during half time..potential new players from South America perhaps? brows.gif

BTW..where is Kueks? Long time not come in? He needs to change thread title..already basi la.. tongue.gif

how u know so much in detail ? u got insider at nufc ? brows.gif

and routledge scored for QPR
*
what were u referring to? The Tino Asprilla crossbar challenge or his CD's?
If it was bout the crossbar challenge, u can read online at many NUFC related sites..
If it was bout the CD's, the commentator for the match was also thinking the same thing, which I'm not saying is true by the way..

Or it could have been Tino's best music collection of South American songs he put together for Beardo..or he put the happy glory memories of their time together and put in for Beardo as collection..haha tongue.gif

Routledge..u score on ur re-debut for QPR yet u couldnt put in decent crosses for Newcastle in the Premiere League..I wonder how will he do when QPR gets promoted..i'm rooting for QPR and Cardiff for promotion this season brows.gif

Added on January 24, 2011, 11:01 pmTwo news that made my heart mixed like a milkshake today..

1. Joey Barton says he wants to end his career at Newcastle and willing to take a pay-cut to do so..absolutely happy and touched he has said this..
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-u...703-28043687/2/

2. Mike Ashley loses 1million pounds at a casino on a night out with Alan Pardew..disgusting..ridiculous..absolute monkey clown..how that money could have paid the wages of a quality striker or winger..

maybe it's because his attitude during practice or the way he treats his team mates. Good thing CH gets to calm him down, and bring the best out of him

and Alan Pardew is going to sign Camoranesi? (metro) Do NUFC really need him?
*
Naah..I dont think it is in the set-up or policy of the Newcastle regime and Mike Ashley to buy players who are old or are past their sell by date..Ashley has been signing players who are young and preferably English because of their age and also their transfer fee and also the potential to sell on that player for higher prices..which I think can rule out Camoranesi..

I see Sol Campbell going out through the SJP exit door..CH brought him in for his experience and maybe just as a cover should it be necessary..now that CH is gone, and Sol seems unhappy and under-performing, I think Ashley is more than happy to let him go..

Ireland seems to be the most likely to be joining us this week..

I foresee the Ireland deal being completed soon and now even Adrian Mutu is being linked

but either way we seriously need some bodies in, personally don't like either SWP or Keane, they most probably will come with access baggage like bloated wages or egos
*
Mutu deal is a non-goer..Pardew said 110% its not true..
Would rather have Joey Barton at right midfield than SWP..he can only dribble and has pace but Barton can cross 9/10 times better than SWP

If this was the summer transfer window and we had another one or two months to go before it shuts, the I would consider selling Carroll regardless of the sentimental feelings..this is becuase we would have the time and money to find a replacement and use the money wisely to improve our squad..

But right now? HELL NOOOO..no matter what the price is..Premier League survival is worth as much as Carroll..

Guys..remember that DEZ COCKHILL guy on astro?

This is what he said even after Newcastle beat Liverpool 3-1 in November..

"Newcastle are a one man team..they are a Championship team..Andy Carroll is not a quality international player, and England will not be any better under Carroll as striker"..

I wonder what that Scouser thinks of this now? He will suddenly be Andy Carroll's number 1 fan..

Disappointed in Carroll really..

for all u know, Carroll's intent and desire hasnt been really well established..
N somehow i feel he is not that injured after all..
if we get in a proven striker before the window shuts, it will at least lessen the hurt among the Newcastle fans..
so much for Carroll signing an extension for his contract earlier this season and getting the number 9 shirt..

I remember we had several offers for Shearer when his days were winding down..
The amount of money offered for him was more than another person at his age would get..
Yet he stayed and finished off the job..as a GEORDIE LEGEND..
N dont even get started on Shearer picking us ahead of Manchester United..

nobody compares to Shearer imho ... i dont expect Carroll to be as loyal as he is but i do understand if he ever chooses to leave but to LFC is not alluring enough ...
*
thats my point..Liverpool? If it was Chelsea or Man United, I wouldnt have been too shocked..dont tell me he is going there coz he idolised King Kenny..he idolised Shearer too? That is too much ..

Just a thought..a little positive news if there is any..Carroll is supposedly 'at the prime of form' right now with potential for the future..thats why he is worth 35 million pounds..

Lets just say we didnt sell him now..and lets say he loses form, keeps picking up injuries, has trouble in his life..then we decide to cash in on him..he might not be worth that 35 million..of course im talking of things that might not happen..but right now, especially in the January transfer window, the price is high and will be a new British transfer record, (before Torres to Chelsea is confirmed)..

To put the blame on Ashley entirely is not fair either..the guy is a businessman..this type of people only see profit..and what is the profit we get from Carroll? 35 million pounds..for Ashley, that is a lot..obviously he does not see it from the effects it has on the team..his policy has certainly work for him..bring in young kids, established them and sell them off for a profit..which is in Carroll's case true..

Ashley might think we can get another striker in to help us out..or thinks we have enough to avoid relegation..he might also think we can get in more young players and continue to use this policy..

The best thing for Newcastle would be if Ashley sells the club..other than that, we will just have to rely on miracles to help us gain some of our dreams..

Another news: The Times is reporting that Stephen Ireland's proposed loan move to Newcastle is off. (Failed medical)

Added on February 1, 2011, 12:55 amLove this piece from NUFC.com..especially the part when comparing us with those Merseyside folks..wake up Andy Carroll..its not worth it..

QUOTE
So, Andy Carroll - who remember was not for sale at any price - appears to be off to Liverpool to negotiate a reported deal now being reported as "in excess of £35m plus extras".

And if the deal goes through (despite the latest "rejected bid"), presumably there will be no time for us to spend all that lovely money.

Most of us would think £35m+ for Andy Carroll is a deal too good to turn down but not if it doesn't all get spent on team strengthening.

Will the £35m be used in the summer? Could we be under new ownership by then? Would we still be in the Premier League? Perhaps chickens have already been counted.

The farcical "turning down offers" of £23m, £25m and then £30m" to these eyes seem to be nothing short of a pathetic, patronising pantomime and a deliberate drip-feeding of info from Barrack Road.

It's worth noting that Liverpool are just two points ahead of us in the table having played one more game and are currently managed by a failed ex-Newcastle manager who trawled the world to bring us Andreas Andersson and George Georgiadis....

The Reds currently occupy a smaller ground than us and are watched by smaller average crowds. Big club, my arse, as a well-known Scouser might say. Perhaps they just have more ambitious owners.

Anyone else thinks that Ashley is waiting for Pool to raise their bid to £40m?

I mean its hard to believe that Ashley, the devil himself, would reject £35m

Hahahaha, nicely summed up there  biggrin.gif
*
To be fair, Ashley has every right to ask for more..it's Liverpool's own doing that Ashley is asking for more..why? Coz Liverpool asked 50 million pounds for Torres..so Ashley knows, they still have some money left to splash for Carroll..if Liverpool were clever enough, I would take the 40 million pounds on offer from Chelsea plus Anelka than spending 40 million on Carroll..Sky Sports seem pretty confident Carroll will stay..they have opened up betting again on Carroll being a Newcastle player tomorrow..
