I received my screen protectors and leather case from this website:

Everything's fine, however, am not using it since it made my N900 bulkier sweat.gif
I bought a pouch which fits my phone perfectly. (and I'm so over the over-worried phase on this phone).
My baby is tough. icon_rolleyes.gif

Willing to let go of the pouch at RM25 with Poslaju..

putih cepat kotor lah..heh..

a user in TMO will be releasing a new backupmenu version that is compatitible with multiboot..expect it to be available tomorrow..if this is true, then we all can partition the emmc without having to worry about nitdroid, especially multiboot...

heres the source http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=911240&postcount=6

QUOTE
hey all

i'm now working on it and will add support to multiboot in the debian package without force or anything

and will be released tomorrow

0.0.9 sir..i've installed nitdroid on my repartitioned emmc..particularly partition 5 (mmcblk0p5)..

but in order to do that, i have to uninstall backupmenu first (the problem here is not backupmenu, but rather the dependency bootmenu-n900 which conflicts with multiboot)...

i haven't explore nitdroid yet..but i can boot it from multiboot..

Added on January 4, 2011, 3:07 pmowh, on the side note, i will try the wl125 driver patch for packet injection to see if its working with V46..just downloaded the patch (141mb) which includes the custom V46-wl1..hoping to try it with neopwn tonight

if it works, then i'll have the best of the world..lol..

maemo + ubuntu + nitdroid + neopwn(packet injection) + h-e-n

Never really try the autoinstaller so no idea what's the android version there...

Just started typing a bit for the updates.I assume majority of you guys using autoinstaller?

A pity maemo don't have apps like vmware to power up these os virtually. It's a bit hassle to reboot to another OS.
*
correct...but easy debian is the way...

i'm still waiting for uboot to be user-friendly though i know i'll be waiting for ages for this...

given the tutorial alone makes me dizzy in sorting things out..unlike multiboot, u can just create boot item.. sad.gif

have u try the repartitioning method i sent u sir?

Haven't...But looking at the guide it should work. Will add it a FP soon.

uboot made me  rclxub.gif
I don't really have head/tail of info about uboot.Barely have any info to work on it.
*
i'd appreciate it if u could try it first before adding it to FP sir..just to make note, those who have nitdroid will have to uninstall Multiboot first..install backupmenu..repartition, then uninstall backupmenu, then install back multiboot..

backupmenu has bootmenu-n900 as its dependency..this dependency will conflict with multiboot..

but i think backupmenu will be compatible with multiboot soon (expect it tomorrow)

i can now multiboot :

1. maemo-kernel omap1
2. kernel 2.6.28.10power46
3. kernel 2.6.28.10power46-wl1 (packet injection!!!!!!!!!!!!yeahh!!)
4. NITDroid

injection is working.....now left to try h-e-n..still waiting for the adapter af-af...

EDIT : THX TO MELI WHO HELPED ME ABOUT THE MULTIBOOT THING..

Yup.Try the tracker -r method 1st.
h-e-n will work for sure..

Why are you using 2 kernel power 46?Is the modified kernel power have too much stuff running at background to be used for a long time?
Or the modified kernel dependent on default v46 kernel?

It's nice to know packet injection is now working but it's not much useful for me.
Main reason I wanted neopwn was because I want to crack some WiFi password. But since my U hosted quite a number of pros, majority of the wifi are encrypted with WPA2 encryption which will make cracking lot harder...
*
QUOTE(jananan @ Jan 5 2011, 01:58 AM)
read somewhere that wlan drivers for packet injection kernel sucks battery life like hell...
*
as jananan said, i am testing whether the patch driver really sucks battery or not..that's why i have 2 kernel power 46..one is the most stable one (v46), the other one is kernel 46-wl12..

the purpose of having 2 v46 is because if the patch driver(v46-wl12) fails/unstable/sucks battery life, i could boot into original 46...

currently i will leave the phone on v46-wl12 to test the battery issue reported by some users from TMO..

EDIT : THX TO MELI WHO HELPED ME ABOUT THE MULTIBOOT THING..U'RE THE MAN MELI!! thumbup.gif

I suppose you created boot file manually for both kernel 46?
*
yes sir..before i dpkg -i the files, i copied all of the original v46 files from N900 (from /boot, from /boot/multiboot, from /lib/modules, from /etc/multiboot.d and so on) to my pc..as dpkg -i those files WILL rewrite the current v46...

after i "dpkg -i" all the files (v46-wl12, headers, modules, bootimg and flasher).. then i extracted the zimage from "kernel-power-bootimg_2.6.28-maemo46-wl1_armel", rename it to vmlinuz..and put it into /boot/multiboot..then i copied the v46-wl12 modules into /lib/modules..then created .item for it..

then i transfer the original v46 back to their places..

at first i can't get it to work...it was a stupid and careless mistake though..i put 2.6.28-10power46-wl12...but it should be 2.6.28.10power46-wl12..just a silly mistake there about "-" and "." ,but i've corrected it since..and booted up successfully..

Added on January 5, 2011, 2:34 amquoted from mido.fayad, new backupmenu (compatible with multiboot) is working..he will upload it later..

now, repartitioning the emmc gets even easier... =)

Do I nid to turn on da phone after insert da cable?

Added on January 5, 2011, 6:20 pmI couldn't flash my phone.. after I insert da line as below..nth happen~  blush.gif

CODE
flasher-3.5.exe -F R.bin -f

*
where is the flasher located?where do u have it installed?

eg: if u installed it to C:\Program Files\maemo\Flasher-3.5,

open command prompt..type

cd C:\Program Files\Maemo\flasher-3.5

then turn off your phone (easy way - REMOVE BATTERY, REINSERTS)

DO NOT TURN ON YOUR PHONE!

SLIDE THE KEYBOARD OUT...HOLD U BUTTON..THEN ONLY YOU CONNECT YOUR USB CABLE TO THE PHONE...

after that, do the flasher command, flasher.exe -F R.bin -f

this is very easy friend..
