The GUi to me is considered very very helpful and can say its great....basically you can crack it without using the keyboard & without highlighting, copy, paste...its all intergrated in the GUI...everything is done automatically.

Currently in the stage to do some minor UI tweaking...As for functionality...its good to go...can say very very convenient.

With this...our N900 value just increased....WEP got no issue on Cracking it...but WPA/WPA2 will be a wee bit harder and longer....i cracked my own WPA around 3-4 hours.....Depending on the strength of your dictionary tho...it would take longer if the key is longer...
Did you try

*
i'd love to give this a try..as i have just reflashed my N900..i have lost all neopwn files..have to start all over again for neopwn, which is a pain in the ass, especially extracting the main file (w00t.tar.gz)...

the gui for the FAS is impressive..even though it's just some basic GUI, but then..as long as it works in simple ways, then you're good to go..

i'm gonna install neopwn and FAS..will compare both of em in my freetime..gosh but the prob is..i don't know when is my freetime..lalala..

Guys a very Good morning to everyone over here..

At last i have got my KPV46 working.

What i did .

I downloaded and installed the .item file that S.E.A shared on the previous post.

Later when i reboot i got guru meditation error.

I manually did this

root
apt-get install kernel-power kernel-power-flasher
apt-get install kernel-power-bootimg kernel-power-modules

and also

apt-get install --reinstall -y kernel-power kernel-power-flasher.

rebooted everything was working fine conky showed that im using KPV 46.

Phase 1 success.

Phase 2 Hostmode.

Plugged in my Thumb drive plus the cable into my N900 and followed the FP method to mount the thumb drive SADLY nothing happened tried with 4 different thumb drive.  anyone faced this b4.??

please advise.

yes BTW what happen to community T shirt design..?
*
you need to press mount IN THE H-E-N..the "mount" desktop item in FP is for NTFS file format..

---IN H-E-N---
HIGH SPEED HOSTMODE-->VBUS boost on--->Enumerate--->Mount---->Mount..

open h-e-n-->connect cable + flash drive--->tap usb host mode-->vboost on-->enumerate-->mount..?

do not connect cable first..u gotta open H-E-N, then only connect the cable and drive..

sifus...
i installed tweak flash version...
my current version reported
AND 10,1,61,0
but why i can't feel any diff from the factory version?still can't play some flash content....
*
having the N900 to change the flash version doesn't mean it has/support flash 10.1..the tweak flash version only changes the version to bypass some of the websites contents. If the video needs 10.1, then there's no way the N900 can view it, even when you've changed the version to 10.1 via tweak flash version..unless we got an official update for 10.1 support, we cannot view 10.1 flash video....or even some 10.1 flash website..

I started getting 24 un-upgraded items when I try to run apt-get upgrade:

[attachmentid=2024042]

After that, trying to run apt-get dist-upgrade gives me this:

[attachmentid=2024044]

is this bad? how to work my way around this?
*
i don't have problem with apt-get upgrade..but i won't mess around with apt-get dist-upgrade either.... =)

Clearly the device has been powered up & detected but it's not mounting.
Tried manual mounting?

BTW are you using SCSI device?

done..went to setting and disable the "open file manager after mount"...dunno if that relates to the problem i mentioned earlier, but i got it to work..

*
i don't know the market price for the n900 to date..but the demand for this phone is below average..most of the people who doesn't know how to use it, ended up selling it..

just give yourself to fully utilise it..then u will know if it worth it or not..

for me, it worth every bits...
