If ever your N8 failed to boot up (mean pressing the power button but no response), do as follow:
1. Verify is it a SW hang by long press the power button >7.5 seconds to force shutdown the N8. This is for SW hang scenario 2. Plug in the charger and wait for AT LEAST 15 minutes, then try to boot up. This is for depleted battery scenario 3. If you are SURE the battery not depleted and got the DEAD N8, send to NCC for checking as it might be defective hardware related issues.
From experience, the N8 can't be Hard Reset once it's failed to boot up normally or so call "DEAD N8".

4. From what I've observed the phone AMOLED will start to turn off start at "ST BLACK-04.bmp", "ST BLACK-03.bmp", "ST BLACK-02.bmp", "ST BLACK-01.bmp",
"ST BLACK-00.bmp".
5. The screen dark "stains" will sufface as well during these few color cards.
6. Start from "ST BLACK-05.bmp" onward the dark "stains" will be not so visible.
7. All these have to be done in total darkness room as these defective "stains" are not visible at all when the surrounding are bright.
After you seen these result DO NOT simply bash N8 straight away as we're not sure why/how the AMOLED display technology work and how it perform on other
devices. Anyone can use these color cards to verify on others AMOLED display devices as well...

but 2nd batch news (ipad , not n8 haha) leak long time ago...just the spec dunno only...so far we know got 2 30-pin slot for horizontal and vertical there.
and ... after you use the ipad how you pack it nicely like first hand?

This is n8 minimum 10cm. And with some skill can take below 10cm also no problem.

tried the original nokia earphone compare with SE MW600 yesterday night, MW600 perfome just slightly better than Nokia original earphone

because those use blackberry and iphone 4 scare ppl do not know they are using them they show off. Those use Nokia N8 u go to places where got nice place to take photo and more advance most use Nokia N8 we use bluetooth headset or earset. U ask here how many have a bluetooth device

Thanks for the advise! I even went to Harvey Norman hoping that they can provide extra warranty because last time I bought a Samsung camera they give 1 yr extra warranty on top of Samsung's 1 year warranty but too bad they don't sell phones.
Next week I'll be in Bangi dy for lectures..hopefully some of the shops in Mines have stock..

In my uni some of the students there walking to class also holding iphone typing sms or something..when I go out eat at least one of them will take out their iphone while waiting for the order to come..all the time take out iphone..as if, if u buy an iphone u will be eternally busy with that thing..

sorry as a real smart guy should go for a thing worth for money. To be honest tell u, apple simply spent money thus the product become exp. Not worth so exp. They got contract with our company and simply waste money before know mord details, like a dumb guy with no brain. Never study and do evaluation before decided to make the decision

Actly b4 this I was keen on android phone..almost bought htc wildfire but then the screen resolution turns me off.. Then changed my mind to Legend but the screen too small I sked my finger too big to type message.. Sony, motorola and Samsung is out of the question..

to me it does not have the "brand" factor..lol The wave is in my budget range and got nice features too but i dont like the design.. Sony X10 is good too but screen too big for me and exterior looks too plasticky..
But I still prefer android os..played with my friend's htc desire and the interface is really good..got alot of useful applications too.. But nvm, I just need a phone that can read pdf and doc files and watch movies during pastimes so Symbian^3 is good enough..
Is the voice dialing feature good? I really like that feature..to sifus, may I know does it respond when you call out malay or indian names?

1. Define good multimedia? It really depends on which phone you are comparing to.. Not all Nokia phone has the capability of N8, in fact just N8 alone. 2. Symbian S60 3. That would be a year later and it will be a final firmware ever released 4. Never heard about them before 5. Washing machine in a smartphone? 6. Better than SE, behind HTC, somewhere along the line with Nokia. 7. Simple but quite restrictive on certain things.
