QUOTE Papers: Reds eye Neuer Neuer wanted by Sir Alex as new No.1 Political infighting at Bayern Munich has left the way clear for Manchester United to snap up their top goalkeeping target Manuel Neuer. Schalke's Germany No 1 seems certain to leave at the end of the season, if not sooner, after heavily criticising his side's 5-0 defeat at Kaiserslautern and claiming they were in danger of being relegated from the Bundesliga. Bayern and United looked to be shaping up for a straight fight for the 24-year-old, but Sportsmail can reveal that a war of words behind the scenes at the Allianz Arena has left Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson in pole position. While president Uli Hoeness and chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge both strongly favour a move for Neuer, manager Louis Van Gaal is standing up to them and insisting the club stick with 22-year-old prospect Thomas Kraft, who won rave reviews on his Champions' League debut against Roma last week. As a further encouraging sign for United, locally-born Neuer, who has retained his membership of Schalke's supporters' club, is wary of upsetting a fan base who would prefer him to move abroad rather than to bitter rivals Bayern. Neuer is under contract until 2012 and valued at around £16million. Ferguson is keen to sign an experienced stopper to take the gloves from Dutchman Edwin van der Sar, who is approaching the end of a brilliant career, having celebrated his 40th birthday last month. John Edwards, Daily Mail The Daily Mirror claims Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola will resist any potential future approach from Chelsea - because he wants to work alongside Sir Alex at United. Guardiola has told friends he wants to take over when the Scot calls time on his Old Trafford reign, although he would want Fergie to stay around the club as a mentor. In other news the Independent claim Antonio Valencia could be back in action by mid-February. happy |

QUOTE(legendofhafiz @ Nov 30 2010, 03:15 PM) Anyone agree with me if I said it is better for being knock out tonight? At the moment , we should concentrate on premier league and FA cup. It is not worse to be knock out in QF , right?(and we already won Carling Cup back to back) At least the player can keep up with fresh legs and the youngster could be given chance in latter stage of FA cup if we beat Liverpool in third round. If we have a small squad then maybe we should consider doing that. But we have a lot of players who need the games. We can afford to go all the way in all competition with the current squad that we have and it's a good chance for us to blood in the youngsters. The likes of Macheda, Hernandez even, Fabio, Smalling, Evans, Gibson, Obertan, Bebe and those in reserves.. it's a good chance for them to play. And we can use this game to play players that just recovered from injuries and squad players that need games. Giggs who just recovered, Brown, O'Shea, Park(behind Giggs and Valencia), Gibson, Ando..VDS Rafael-Rio-Vida-Evra Valencia-Scholes-Fletcher-Nani Rooney-Berba --O'Shea, Park, Carrick Kuszczak Brown-Smalling-Evans-Fabio Obertan-Gibson-Ando-Bebe Hernandez-Macheda Speaking about our squad, I Last season lost by a single point in the league, and we trashed Bayern who got to the CL final until Rafael was sent off. If that's an average squad, I don't know what it means for the other sides. 95% of them are shit maybe? This post has been edited by Wan: Nov 30 2010, 06:28 PM |

woah, i didnt know that we've won the carling cup 2 times in a row now. if we win it this season, it would be 3 times in a row. maybe because i dont really care much for the carling cup but they'll be having my support just so they win the triple |

But he doesn't need the power when he can go past people and not lose the ball. And he has the vision to unlock teams with his passing, something Ronaldo don't have. 23 goals, 11 assists so far. Those assists count will get higher throughout the season.seriously real madrid got to buy new goalkeeper about Messi>Ronaldo,i am disagree.it's not because i like Ronaldo(because i am not),but for me ronaldo is better overall.messi has awesome dribbling skills and ball control but Ronaldo got more: (over)dribbling skills, ball control, speed, height, trickiness, versatility, etc Added on November 30, 2010, 7:02 pmAway game huh? I still think Messi is better than Ronaldo, simply because for Ronaldo, he plays and performs well coz he wants to be recognized, wants to be the top and all. Compared to Messi, who do ever so wonderfully simply because he enjoys playing football. Not saying Ronaldo isn't, but Messi doesnt seem to care about personal acclaims at all, all he does is play football with pure joy and no worries at all.
If you watched Dragon Ball, It's like Messi = Son Goku and Ronaldo = Vegeta |

Well anyone said our squad is average should be slapped. Chances can be given during FA,CL and weaker EPL teams perhaps? It just the fixture is bloody tight and with no winter break , the fatigue among our players will be increase. Thus probability of injury is increase.VDS Rafael-Rio-Vida-Evra Valencia-Scholes-Fletcher-Nani Rooney-Berba --O'Shea, Park, Carrick Kuszczak Brown-Smalling-Evans-Fabio Obertan-Gibson-Ando-Bebe Hernandez-Macheda Speaking about our squad, I Last season lost by a single point in the league, and we trashed Bayern who got to the CL final until Rafael was sent off. He has given run without rest which affected his performance in a few match. (TBF Fabio got injured a lot last season) . Wish them luck tonight. |

It doesn't affect us IMO. It's the Carling Cup competition which provide lots of chances for our young ones to get games. And in any case it's a good chance for us to give games to our squad players as well to help them keep up form.
