"Following the heavy overnight frost, where temperatures dipped below -8C, concerns surrounding areas of the Bloomfield Road surface have increased. The severe frost on Thursday night has meant that large areas of the playing surface have become frozen.

"The Seasiders' groundstaff have worked throughout the night with large hot-air blowers in a bid to thaw out the problematic areas of the playing surface, however last night's frost has meant that the problematic areas have increased. The club has sourced additional hot-air blowers and these are expected to be on site [by] Friday lunchtime and once again the Seasiders groundstaff will work throughout the night to ensure the eagerly-anticipated game with Manchester United takes place."

from blackpool's site...I have a feeling it might be postponed, hot air blowers ffs...a few championship and lower league fixtures have been postponed, most of them no undersoil heating on their pitch

I hate it when we have to play in a small pitch. Against Blackpool and under potential of them having frost bite, god save us all lol.

Citeh 3-3 Bolton. Go Citeh, go!

If it's not played now, then it would probably be stuffed into on of the weekday slots, making that period more congested than supposed to. Not ideal if u ask me sad.gif

i'll rather the match being delayed than having the risk of our players get injured due to TV demand pressure to meet the schedule.. wink.gif

But now we have to squeeze more matches into a shorter period of time ; risk of players getting injured even greater tongue.gif

but we'll have the players' option (rotation) during that period rather than stuck with fit-only players

doesnt matter that much anyway since we're using youngster for most of the matches

if enter final won't use youngsters also, and less 3 matches already...

no need worry about that fixture la it's not like they are gonna cramp it into the Christmas/boxing day period...I think
