Acer Liquid Metal has 512 ram/rom right. What about the G5? G5 also has 512 rom right? What about the ram department.

The spec is not bad, with Adreno 205, this a incoming msm processor.
If you compare to current model phone like xt720, x10, liquid metal has nice spec, around same performance with them.

msm processor is design for low end phone, while incoming QSD processor will use Adreno 220, more powerful.

but the liquid metal is not yet in market right?

UK already has it released if im not wrong. Thanks for answering my question. I was planning to get a new phone then giving this G5 to my mom. Is it recommended that i get a phone with 1gb rom/ram? Instead of 512. The improvement will be drastic right? x10 performance is already mid-high range but in the future that might change. Taking into consideration this phone might be released quite late in Malaysia.

Not many model come with more than 512MB ROM.............you need to pay higher for this

x10 has no multi touch, and froyo almost impossible for them
xt720's RAM is pretty less, 256MB, no chance for froyo as well

the increase of ROM wont bring better performance to the phone, something like higher capacity of Hard Disk in PC.............higher capacity RAM will help a bit on giant apps

I dont know the fact of this news, but can confirm nobody got the UK's froyo firmware now............the only froyo available now is our flashed one

Maybe they are trying to say its buggy. They just use good words for it. Lol!

I believe the official froyo will release for G3 first, then G5
December is a way too rush, I dont think can make it.............most probably January or February

Anyway, G3 has more than 1 leaked version already............so our G5 might get another leaked version later

Sgpc. Which telco r u using. U cant connect? Ive been using celcom broadband. Settings from first page works flawlessly. Apn type just leave blank.

So if I want to upgrade to android phone with 1000MHz with foryo capability, which phone i shoulde choose? I'm thinking just upgrading my self to nexus 2. But maybe the price of the phone is sky rocket

If UK is going a froyo firmware soon, than it is a very good news. European firmware tend to be more stable with lest bug.
Hope they will fix the invisible apps icon bug, that is really a fatal bug.

the firmware package is I5503DXJH1, i believe is already leaked and available for flashing

wow, 2 days now using 2.2, loaded back my favourite apps total of 12 apps and 3 widgets...running smoother than ever...too bad, it is a europe version, was hoping for an original asian version.

one thing i dislike is the battery life...too short.
