Will the Official Froyo perform better than the leaked version? As in increased fps for gaming, smoother UI and stuff?

ROM = Internal Hard Disk in PC
RAM = RAM in PC
SD Card = External Hard Disk

the phone apps are install in ROM

so that mean 512mb rom aint so enought is it.??after instal d froyo stil leave how much StupidGuyPlayComp

In Malaysia the data plan is damn expensive and limited bandwidth, I not subcribe.
If we using the data connection without data plan, Habis lah............phone bill might few thousand Ringgit Malaysia.
1KB=1cent

Once I activate the 3G, not even execute any apps, the background data already consume me RM1.00

So I difficult to test the data connection thingy

What if most of my contacts are facebook ones. Will they disappear as well? Or will they still be there as Facebook does not have anything to do with the phone.

Dont force stop the stock "Messaging", just change the notification setting inside

The stock "Messaging" is your default sms apps, once you force stop it, the phone will keep searching this apps and cause it hang

The RAM cant use as installation space, its a room for running apps storing, once the apps has stop, it will remove from the RAM.

Why we need the RAM to parking the running apps?
its simple, RAM is much faster than ROM, using RAM can faster up the reading/writing

if i flash v2.2 can i reflash it back to its previous firmware? planning of experimenting my phone thru flashing it it to v2.2 and returning back to it previous firmware.. .^__^

As we know, there is no AP for G5 available in market

Its simple to check whether it ori, just match the IMEI in phone against IMEI in box, the Box has stick with "Samsung Mobile Malaysia" sticker

The warranty card is come from "Samsung Mobile Malaysia" too

512MB is maximum for budget phone at this moment. G5 has 186MB free ROM after the froyo. meaning froyo using 512-186 MB ROM space

Since you already own G5 and planning for 2nd phone, I would suggest you go for the high end model.
xt720 and X10 is decent in term of pricing and performance, but they confirm cant get froyo

next higher price is HTC Desire, the performance is same with xt720 and X10, but it still unable fight with SGS

Aria, Wildfire, A10 all these are not recommend because its overprice, unless you wanna attach with telco's plan

Hey froyo guys, just want to check if you guys punya "turn mobile network on/off" setting (the one when you long press the power off button) is working. Mine's working. but I usess different apn setting. I think read here somewhere that is not working

Thats because you haven set the APN
Setting - Wireless & Networks - Mobile network setting - Access Point Names
(Add in the APN for your telco here, according the APN setting in front page of this thread)

what apn setting you used?? as for "turn mobile network on/off" cant event click on it....item hidden ....same thing in setting wireless & mobile network
