Man... thought of the distorted voice on call will diminished after corrected with the new Ya-Ok on my v8.0.1. When i was so enjoy playing with the new kernel.. wife called, without going further on the conversation, a comment came from her : How come your voice so hoarse!, Very difficult to hear what i was talking about.

Then saw GreenGoat msg...XXJPO v8 out.. quickly downloaded it and completed within 5 mins.

Wiped and factory resetted, disabled lagfix
Flashed XXJPO_v8 + Ya-OK build 31 + spare part setting to fast --- still speed as previous ROM, but not sure the voice call.. haiz....

GreenGoat, stock XXJPO_v8 come with the kernel 256Hz, u flashed to a different kernel? i saw ur flashed to a 500Hz, isnt they said not that stable with this 500Hz?

It contains Universal Lagfix features within CWM recovery, where you can choose what kind of lagfix

i use this method

QUOTE
1. Download K9 CWM file (500hz CWM), put it in your sdcard, also put Doc's ROM.
2. Boot into recovery.
3. Flash the K9 kernel (500hz CWM), DO NOT REBOOT.
4. Go to Advanced ULK options -> reboot into recovery.
5. Now choose mounts and storage -> Format system
6. Now flash Doc's ROM (xxJPO v8), and immediately after, flash K9 CWM (500hz CWM) zip AGAIN! (Without a reboot in between)
7. Select reboot after flashing K9 CWM zip (500hz CWM). Now if you had a lagfix applied before, you will get a prompt about change in config. Just select "remove new config" here.
8. DO NOT FLASH any bugged kernel after this, or you will have to repeat this process.

they doesnt state its unstable..

500HZ - Smoothest, Very slightly worse battery life (?).

just not sure how long will the batt last
anyway.. i'd like to give it a try smile.gif

lol yeah but this one is special since the instruction is also to 'cure' the system problem as mention here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...&postcount=8896

what i understand is the frequency for the video to run
higher freq u use, the smoothness it get but will also drain more juice
by default, samsung freq setting is 256Hz

aiya... seem like i missed one step! FORMAT system!
Aiyo... look like i gotta reflash it again... haiz...

Do u think if i do the following step would be ok?
1) wipe and factory reset
2) disable lagfix
3) Format system
4) Flash DOC ROM
5) Flash YA-Ok kernel
6) reboot.

In my opinion, just flashing kernel will do instead of full wiping and installing ROM again

This is of course when you are already on Froyo with CWM Recovery
