Anything you can find here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=817703You might need to manually extract the zImage file or do a complete overwrite of your phone using the ROM? This post has been edited by Harddisk: Nov 28 2010, 02:40 PM

I tested both Speedmod K9A 256Hz and 300Hz for an equal amount of time. 300Hz kernel offers smoother animation transition but when there is something working in background, it may be noticeably laggier than 256Hz. Hence now I am on 256Hz kernel and I'm happy with it.
Linux geek should know this Hz thingy is a sacrifice between latency and throughput. No best of both world.
To compare with Eclair with Voodoo kernel, I would rate Speedmod with the score of 9 in terms of UI swiftness. Everything is so fast again. With the extra ~40MB RAM, I could run more apps in background.
Battery life is fine. I unplugged at 8am, it is 92% remaining now. I have push mail, whatsapp, Twitter and widgets updating itself. Pretty satisfying.
One word, Speedmod is excellent to make Froyo as enjoyable as Eclair.
