I have this Gallery3DFroyo.apk.

How do I install it? The conventional installation method doesn't work. I've even tried putting the file into /system/app/ (yeah, silly), but doesn't work either.

Any idea?

3 button fix (1st page on thread)

Preparations: Make sure you have the drivers installed (i.e Kies is recognizing the phone), adb available and "USB Debugging" turned on in "Settings -> Applications -> Development" menu. Type *#0228# in the dialer and check Voltage value (without USB plugged in) is atleast 3800(mV).

1. Unplug the phone from the computer (if connected)
2. Kill all Kies related software (tray agent, etc)
3. Start Odin3 v1.3 Downloader
4. Plug in the phone to the computer
5. Start a new command prompt and navigate to the folder / drive where adb is located.
If you haven“t downloaded adb yet, get it here.
6. Type "adb reboot download" to the command prompt and press enter.
7. Move to Odin3 v1.3 downloader and select the "Aries_P-SBL.tar.md5" as PDA file. Make sure "Phone Bootloader Update" is ticked and re-partition is unticked. Do not select any other files but "Aries_P-SBL.tar.md5".
8. Press "Start" button to launch the update process. It will take around three seconds to complete. After the update phone will reboot automatically.

1. guys, may i know erk.. how to do point number 5 (highlighted in red)? lol

2. in the odin zip file, after o extract it, there is this ".pit file". what does it do?

3. in the adb recovery zip file, after extract it, there are 2 other dll foles. what does it do?

thx ya'll!

1) Download Android SDK, extract the content. ADB should be located inside tools/ folder of Android SDK.

2) Don't bother with the .pit file. You won't need it for this 3-button recovery patch.

3) The other 2 dll files are the libraries for the executable programs to correctly communicate with your phone via USB. Just leave it there.

Hope these help. But I've checked the last few pages. No 1 mentioned anything about patching the 3e recovery on Froyo.
