Heh... yup. If you have a relative/friend who's going to Japan & don't mind carrying a guitar, just ask the him/her to bring it back for you. Purchase a hard case & put some stickers (the older they look the better!) on it. Save you the shipping cost and 10% tax!

i just went 1U today..... saw a SX LP copy for 700 bucks..... i was like i want this!!!! black beauty copy oso got..... more expensive tho....

anyone noe wut wood the SX LP copy uses??? and anyone can comment on its sound?

wow 700 considered as cheap . not so to me as a student. if it is 500 only then considered bearable to me IMHO.

Normally people will buy a very good high-end guitar first. Some of my friends, they spent like Rm2500++ for an Ibanez Guitar but didn't buy any amp to play with . There's a quote ... "Get a wife first before getting a new house"

After you get your super cun bass guitar, save money and get a small bass amp. If you have enough money, go ahead and buy those 100W bass amps .... at lest you still can bring u're small bass amp around to pratice.

That's pretty much bullsh!t imo, you're gonna lose all the fun of playing and abuse your guitar if you get a high-end one. For a beginner, that's very important imo.

yea buying such a high end guitar so fast is like suicide...imagine suddenly u lose interest in the instrument...n wats the fun in buying an electric guitar without an amp...

I forgot to mention some of my friends are rich .....

But they have a desire to play guitar, i mean , they know this is the right stuff for them. I think it's ok if you know that this is what you're look for and love to do it forever.

Oh I have such friends too, one of them went for a brand new Fender American Strat and a cheap Squire amp.

See .... people first timers always tend to spent more on the guitar and pay half the price of the guitar for an amp. I did the same thing too when I first got my guitar, spend more on the guitar ... spend the half the amount on an amp (Fender FrontMan 15W). I think it's because dunno which amp to choose yet .... so i just get a simple small amp first to play around.

may i know how much does it cost for an american made standard strat nowadays?
