Ooooooh. another BLS Member for life!! SDMF Bro!!!
And yeah, the G2.1u is increasingly hard to find. I remember Chambers Music in Sungai Wang brings in some Zoom products (I got my Zoom 505 AND Zoom GFX3 from there). I remembered a G2.1u about 3-4 months back. If they don't have it, you can always ask them to order it for you. They seem nice to me..... |

The guitar you can probably carry, but the amp might be abit more problematic.....
Are you going to be travelling with the guitar alot? Or just this one trip? And if you're a beginner...... well...... honestly..... that's a good package. But don't forget..... you're going to have to buy a guitar case, wires, and other misc stuff..... so try to haggle with the store to get these things thrown for free. Sometimes, they do. |

Your best bet is to get an SX Les Paul body type guitar..... Should be going for around 800 and for what it's worth, SX sounds much better then the rest of the "other" imitation brands around like Santa Cruz or the god awful Pyramid.
Check the Music Shops thread to find out where you can buy SX guitars. |

Problem is, he probably doesn't know what to look for in a guitar.....
Some actually find cheaper Rm500 knock-offs sound better then their Gibson or Epiphone counterparts because of the amp, settings, effects and all that other crap that goes into it. |

Well, for your 1k budget, don't forget...... You'll also need an amplifier.....
Alot of Noobs makes the mistake with putting all their cash into a guitar, but completely forget about their amps.... |

I bought My Ibanez PF series Acoustic for Rm1000 (If I remembered correctly).... Dreadnaught, Cutaway, Pickup.....
It's a good guitar.... I find it good at least...... Not as bright as other acoustics.... but I love it..... |

A V-Tone is a stomp box/effect processor...... NOT an amplifier......
You DO know that, right? If you have some cash to spare, got for the vox AD series...... An AD30 (should be around RM800 range) is a VERY good choice. |
