Because Apple had stopped signing older firmware. So now you can only officially restore your iOS to the latest version.
Downgrade is not possible if no SHSH blob saved.
You need extra software such as TinyUmbrella to help you kick out of recovery mode.

He/She means, before restore, perform backup thru iTunes.
After the restore, then click "Restore from Backup" in iTunes to retrieve your previous content (Contacts/SMS/Calander etc.).

It's the same. Setup as new phone then after that click the restore from backup.
Just sync your contact to your PC then you're good to go.

okok, will try after i dloaded OS4.2. Apple have already locked the current OS to 4.2, couldn't restore to 4.1 bah.

Have you previously used iOS4.1? Have you JBed it before? Have you used TinyUmbrella to backup your SHSH before?
If none of the above is applicable, then you have no hope going back iOS4.1.

And FYI, now the latest iOS is 4.2.1 not 4.1.

Guys, need your help..

I have been purchasing apps using my Debit Card and everything went fine.. Now suddenly i can't use itunes anymore as message prompted that i need to fill some errors in my billing details. How this can be? previous apps that i bought all ok with no problems. All details are same..

For your info, previous apps purchased has been deducted from my DC and still got money in it.

I've read in Itunes troubleshooting saying that this guy thought something fishy with verifying itunes account in email. If that's the case, is it that my itunes has been attack cos i've clicked 'verify' in my email which most probably phishing scam..

Now i'm puzzled.. Need your help guys. Thanks a lot..

What is the error message you're getting when sign in?
Try to reset your iTunes account password. Or try to contact Apple regarding this issue.
Maybe your account is hacked.

Ok now i can go in to my itunes.. but i stll can't change the password or change to 'None'.. message appear as:

'There were errors or omissions in the information. Please correct the indicated'

Another message:

'The billing of previous purchased has failed. Please provide valid payment method and click done'

Now i think it's fishy.. Demm..

Better contact Apple bah. I never encounter such thing before and had no idea how also...

Damm cannot make a tone for massages because my disk aid trial is expired now ..
That any way can solve this and make free tone massages .. I cannot buying that disk aid with my master card ..
