In iTunes, after plugged in your iPhone, at iPhone summary tab, hold Shift and press the Update button. Then a dialog box will appeared and you can select the firmware file you'd downloaded.

In iTunes, after plugged in your iPhone, at iPhone Apps tab, check that whether the new apps are checked to be sync into iPhone.

how do i delete pic and pic folder under Photos apps? yday i sync some pic and folders into my Photos and notice some duplication and now i cant find anyway to delete it.

yes it is checked. and it even show at the mock iphone screen in itunes.

Delete the photo in your PC folder, then sync again.
No way to delete in iPhone Photos app.

One thing to make sure, are your apps downloaded from official Apple Apps Store?

Hi all, I'm using I4 IOS 4.2, with Hotlink 500MB data plan. I checked my statement occasionally I got deducted RM2 for GPRS data usage. I called CS they tell me its due to iphone setting, where there are some data usage which will not be included in my 500mb data plan, and it will be charged separately, can I know if iPhone have background data usage issue? CS told me I need to go to Maxis center for them to remove data setting so I will not be deduct credit for data usage.

I wonder why there are 2 ways Maxis charge its data usage or iPhone are using data different?

Even I'm using data plan, my phone credit still being deducted for data usage...

I don't know what that RM2 is; but to stop data usage, simply go Settings->General->Network turn off Cellular Data and 3G.
And don't start using the cellular data before your 500MB is activated. Or your credit will soon drained.
You'll get a SMS notification for that. Normally will be activated within 24 hours.

And I think Maxis is bulls**ting you.
No separate charges.

i cant download apps. when i try to download there will be a noti says : "cannot connect to the store. a secure connection could not be established. pls check your date and time settings." what do i need to check at date and time settings? help me cz dont have time to goggle hehe

It's normal for the 2 cents charge. Every time I activate the cellular data (i'm also on hotlink 500mb plan) my credit will deduct RM0.02, which will be refunded after I turn off the cellular data. I wonder why got such thing.

How do you check that? Any link to the Maxis's web? I'm just a regular postpaid user, no data plan whatsoever, the only thing I use to check is my unbilled amount.

BTW what is the common problem found in iPhone 4? This question open to anyone who reads this

i have checked mine. found out that maxis charged me too

my iPhone screen become dim all the time, the screen is responsive and work, but the backlight seem off and spoil.. this happen after I applied my invisibleshield. Can I claim warranty with Maxis? (still under warranty)

do u already check the Brightness at Settings ? try turn off the Auto-Brightness. if u don't mind, try peel off the invisibleshield and see whether working or not. if problem still occur, then u can bring it to maxis for warranty

I off the auto brightness, when i slide the brightness, nothing happen, i will try peel off IS later, i think the solution spray damaged my iphone.. Haiz.. Dont know maxis willing to claim this kind of waranty or not. My iphone applied IS be4, i changed to new one since old 1 torn already, but who know this 1 bring problem.

Did you get charged RM2 or RM0.12? For 0.02 cents i dont have any problem as they will credit back the 2 cents... but my problem is my RM2 and 0.12 being charged, not all being refunded... and worse off some of the RM2 deductions and credit back does not reflect on my e-statement... probably Maxis technician did something to my account after I called them... last time I can see all RM2 charged to my account...

For problem No.1, after lots of googling, I have found out that many 3gs users are also facing this issue. is it common to ALL 3gs? will maxis entertain this kind of warranty claim? got 1 to 1 exchange cos it's less than 1 month old. (from forum that i've read, some people have replaced more than 3 sets of 3gs for warranty, all facing the same issue, problem still not fixed).
