Problem Encountered : My iphone just went dead a few hours ago. black screen and cannot on at all.
Steps Taken So Far : Press the On button countless time. Try charging with my external battery n original cable when i went back home

Other Information/Remarks : Last i saw the iphone batt is around 20-30% charged..so it may not be battery ran out. I stil have waranty but i would rather try anything dat will not void my waranty if it can solve my prob without needing to go to a maxis center..by da way, i stayed near rawang n w.maju area.any maxis center closest to dat area dat cn do instant repair?i can only identify klcc since i got my hp there..

try charging with power source not your pc....if still cannot..connect to your pc..and try putting the phone on the dfu mode...that can solve the problem...

I tried connect straight to power source.still no responce.how to put the iphone into dfu mode if i may ask?i hope it doesnt need any extra tools..

nope...conected the phone to your pc(it wont detect its ok)..hold the power button and home button together for 8 seconds and the and then release the power and hold the home button for 10 seconds..the phone will be detect by the computer and shows your phone is in recovery mode....

How about if i press home n sleep button when i connect the iphone directly to power supply?i accidentaly done dat n suddenly there is the icon for charging..is wat i did is the right thing?or will it further damage my phone?huhu

Now I'm facing the problem again.. my usage=standby. This happend when I login to mobileme using my pc, just test to find my iphone..
Terrible.. I've done everything like I've done last time but the problem still exist.. Need u help.. pls give some advise.. I don't what to do..
Do I have to restore the firmware again..?

Bro,sifu did mention to connect to pc but i didnt try dat 1st,instead,i try pushing both button when plugged directly in a power supply.then the screen juz popped up suddently.juz wanna makesure.its better to ask now rather then regret later. :+)

Added on November 30, 2010, 9:13 am well for celcom there some settings to be done for browsing and data usage...have done that...as i know the facetime doesnt requires the data..but sometimes we never know...i need the following steps.

If yes leave it and try looking at he other steps..

1) can browse the on the safari ?
2)are in the wifi coverage?
3)when try activating face time.... do you have credit balance (prepaid) or no barred line(postpaid)?

then wait for a day after turning and restarting the phone and activation of the face time. then you will manage to use it...if still cant..do let us know..

I am new in iphone 4 and i had face some problem. Hope someone able to solve my problem.

1) My iphone 4 suddenly appear this msg (pls refer picture attached) Warning show Tempreture and Emergency call only by the way the phone is not heat at all. I just take out from my pocket and it direct show me this msg.

When appear this msg on screen, it not able to restart and unlock keypad as well. I am very nervous and duno wat should i do. I purchase iphone 4 from Maxis. After a while, it back to normal and i am suspecting becoz it is no coverage at that time. Is it true? Need your advice. I been ask some of the 3Gs and 4G user, but nobody seen this before too.

2) My phone suddenly turn heat. Why was this happend? Heat until i need to restart my phone then just back to normal. This issue and the above issue is not happend in the same day.

My iphone 4 just 1 week old. Hope someone can help me in this and i hope to learn more about it.

its normal when ur iphone get overheat under ur pocket
i get this message last time when i pulled out of my pocket and play games
then i notice the back part of the phone is hot!
so i suspect is it my cheap screen back protector causing the trouble, i removed it now and works normally already

See my 2nd issue, got 1 time my phone turn to very hot, and no such warning msg appear also. How come will turn into so hot?

the 1st issue warning msg appear time , my phone is not hot at all. Just feel strange abt it.

I kena once when i was on the roof top at 12 PM checking some noise, finally found out that a brid fell from the sky and died. I took my phone to take picture and this message came up.

incase we cant touch our iphone screen , watelse we still can use to touch ??? if we wearing glove definately cannot touch the screen .........

I feel lost when this happend. Wan to restart also cannot. I really duno wan to do wat. then i cincai press all the button and the screen snap also appear. Haha...really duno got such function before.

Hopefully this is not a serious and major problem. I am just curious wan to know wat will make this happend and is it any side effect or anything to prevent this from happend again.

well actually...the touch screen on the iphone works with heat sensor too...so it depends some say there are design pen for the iphone and ipad..try using it...

Added on November 30, 2010, 1:02 pmwell im not sure about celcom process...as i know when you on the activation..there is actually a message sent to the server..try restoring and dont back up the setting and then activate the facetime....

i have seen this problem facing by many user...i think that maybe sometime usage of iphone was high which heat up or there are so many apps is open on the mutitasking....next time dont also expose the iphone to heat too...
