Aside from Dell closest is LG, IPS, 21" and cheap (low-end IPS)
I'm not too sure about other model due to local availability, good one such as the NEC only known in those newegg (US) unless you willing to throw in cash to import them.
Those were the expensive one, and mostly I saw is 24" and above and they're true H-IPS/S-IPS? so they cost a boom. brows.gif

NEC has the low-end IPS as well, but from US? I don't it worth. unsure.gif

Question
Why is the image quality from a LCD TV seems way better than my PC monitor? Watched the same movie (same file) but the the TV has much sharper image.

Does the panel matters that much? I'm using s2409w btw

Can you list the model of your LCD TV?
The reason LCD TV is better is due to different panel, some Sony or LG uses IPS (great color and viewing angle). LCD TV is expensive for a reason.

Your Dell monitor is the TN panel, color wise of course is not as good as LCD TV that you mentioned.

Panel are the difference, your TV being IPS Panel or VA Panel and your PC Monitor being TN Panel, another influence is that you tune your monitor/tv sharpness level, thou i don't know if it is available on your monitor or not, LCD TV mostly can set Sharpness Level, while low end LCD such as TN panel doesn't have such setting.

That settings only available when you plug into the VGA port where you can adjust all the signal details.
DVI however is straight forward and does not need to adjust.

Flip few pages back, read and you should understand there's current recommended hot running model U2311H and just cold on the shelve is the U2412M which need someone to spare their hard earn cash for the masses (review).
But U2412M is 1920x1200, and if you're not fond with the extra black bar then by all means go for U2311H now with no regret, CCFL is not an issue now, it's the panel that matters!!

hi, i got a little question to ask, i interesting to get a 120Hz 3d monitor, but in game like crysis 2, i only get 50fps, will my 120hz monitor will benefit me? Is it must 120fps only i can notice the true motion in 120hz monitor?

yes, something like that, if your graphic card is unable to support your monitor 120hz refresh rate, your investment on monitor would mostly be overkill. but oh well, it's good for movie i guess. since 120hz boast are specially for movies and entertainment, which is not only focus on game.

If you current game only able to play at 50FPS, 3D vision will cut that in half, meaning you get almost unplayable frame rate, and with extra processing power to process the 3D vision, you get even lower frame rate, so if you're taking 3D vision seriously, think SLi, and think hard icon_idea.gif

Any 19" widescreen will suit your budget and needs, that's the cheapest possible option available, from what I know, BenQ and Acer seems to be the cheapest so far.
If you want to find the best price, walk from ground to top, and ask all... yes... ALL! There's no best shop with best price until you ask them all, sorry but even my friend at KL did that, I'm not West Malaysian but that's how it goes there, here at East almost all the price are equal and expensive LOL. sweat.gif

FYI my dad bought at RM280 here in Kuching, Sarawak. 18.5" BenQ.
So I think Lowyat should be much cheaper in price, CRT... no more new stock, only refurbish if you're lucky, and no warranty, even do only few days. RM50? hmm.gif
