But im really worried coz the next one they give me will have problems as well or more worse = more problems.
And the other thing is, can i request exchange unit for a NEW UNIT beside having a refurbished unit??..

IINM,you can reason with them to give you a new unit, tell them it's already your 2nd unit.

Added on April 20, 2011, 3:31 pmI don't think it's caused by your socket ,looks to me the problem isn't on the panel itself but on the thing that covers it since you can see the pixel is fine below.

Yup most probably i'll do dis..and 1 thing i realize; the defective unit dat we return to DELL is goingto go round n round xchanging hands wit different owners until the monitor chooses whichever owner "its" happy to settle down with!!

If it's less than 21 days old, you should call up Dell Support and demand that they give you an entirely new Dell U2311H because the one you received is faulty. If you don't, they might send you a refurbished unit, just like what happened to me. I called them and demanded for a new unit though, and got it smile.gif. But don't expect to get a new one if it's more than 21 days old as Dell only replaces your current unit with a new one if its age is less than 21 days.

I called Dell support earlier, they said for black pixel, you need 5 or more but for white pixel, one is enough to ask for warranty.

I was thinking of ignoring the small dead pixel at the bottom right corner since it is not really noticeable until I found another pink pixel near the address bar. doh.gif

Decided to call Dell support again and ask for a replacement, they say they'll send a new unit tomorrow, hope they'll really give a new one with no defects. shakehead.gif

they don't check thoroughly enough, hence why some call their qc=bad.

When i got my replacement unit, DELL did call me to verify have i received my unit and during dis time i did ask the support guy on the phone y they sent me a refurbished unit. He said dat "normally" replacement unit is refurbished unit and said that it is stated in the warranty policy. Never mention anything about the 21 days and also i didnt read the warranty policy so i just accepted his answer. So i guess its my fault also for not reading the warranty properly. I jst hope they sympathise me and give me a NEW unit dis time around...
