QUOTE(highwind85 @ Jan 30 2011, 08:35 PM) nope. Its a cheap lens. Normally UV filter is for protection for expensive lens. If you buy cheap UV filter, thenyour picture will degrade. Normally we recommend getting Hoya Pro 1D filter. The price is RM100 like that. QUOTE(yangxi @ Jan 30 2011, 08:38 PM) f/1.7 is opening of aperture. THe smaller number means opening bigger. Opening bigger more light and yourpicture brighter and no need to increase ISO. Also the smaller the number, you can get bokeh. |

yeah.. i think pancake lens is like a prime lens, where the focal length is fixed. Normally if twin kit for gf2 is how much? Hoping to get 20mm+14-42mm twin kit. How about epl-2? How does it fares with gf2? I saw good reviews, summore cheaper abit ><
After looking thru the forum, much ppl selling gf2 with 14mm and 14-42mm kit lens only.. >< if paired with 20mm is kinda exp tho... dunno worth it or not.. how much normally ppl sell their kit-lens? with 20mm lens+body the price is higher than 14mm+14-42mm lens+body. I scare 14mm is not good enuf for me as i wanna shoot indoor/low-light photo.. This post has been edited by ben3003: Jan 30 2011, 10:26 PM |

should i get only the kit lens and the body? then when i got the money i will get the 20mm pancake lens. Or should i just get the 14mm pancake+kit lens? becos the 14mm is kinda good when i wanna do P&S, but need to fork out extra 400 for twin lens.

I suggest you save another 400 for twin lens. Twin lens is good as 14mm is light and small, but 1442 is good for travel. Of course you can buy 14mm or 20mm later, but it will cost you more.

And after I get this pancake, I seldom use the kit lens. So yes, if I were you, I'll get the pancake also because that'sthe reason we getting a m43. When I go travel in Koh Samui, I only bring 17mm f/2.8 and no problem to get good picture. Of course, if I were to choose again, I might get Olympus XZ1 with f/1.8 lens...hahaha.... |
