less stuff in the HDD = less seek time = feel faster

LAN? plug in the LAN cable lor...

when u close the lid the laptop shut down or what?

anyway when using AC, its best to take off the battery or its ok to attach it?

It depends on your settings...

Just leave it attach unless you don't mind losing some data when power down...

You can set it to hibernate, sleep, shutdown or do nothing when close the lid....

first timer using laptop and jump platform from xp to win 7 rclxub.gif loads to learn icon_question.gif

any good links where i can read for basic info i nid to know? i read the first post but its quite brief unsure.gif

Type "Power Option" on start menu,
Open it,
Click "Choose what closing the lid does" on the left panel, then set it to your liking...

Li-Ion just leave inside oso nvm de la.. maybe remove it when you're gaming since Li-Ion enemy is heat not the plug..
