QUOTE(Najmods @ Apr 10 2011, 12:54 AM) The harddisk temperature is considered 'normal' for A42J series, that is the main reason I sold my A42Je. I done absolutely everything to keep the thermal down but the temperature drop only after I remove the harddisk panel open and actively blowing fast spinning fan underneath it. erm. seems like you were facing the same problem as me, but I had been reading through the posts in this thread. the other users don't seem to have this problem.o.oAdded on April 10, 2011, 9:38 pm@alexlai: are u still using a42jv now?mind posting ur cpuid temperature during idle, normal usage and under heavy load such as gaming?appreciate it much =) Added on April 10, 2011, 9:43 pmalso, does anyone of you know where can i dl a fresh copy of windows 7 home premium(ie just the iso file, then burn it into a dvd and install using the product key available under my laptop)?appreciate it lots =) This post has been edited by dunkiedonuts: Apr 10 2011, 09:43 PM |

QUOTE(tslc0250 @ Apr 10 2011, 09:57 PM) i think that is the LED light showing your system switching between nvidia and intel GPU. blue is nvidia while white is intel... Double check with my friend. White is Nvidia while blue is Intel. The older N series like the N82 used to have a sticker that tells you what color is which.Added on April 10, 2011, 10:14 pm QUOTE(dunkiedonuts @ Apr 10 2011, 09:37 PM) @alexlai: are u still using a42jv now?mind posting ur cpuid temperature during idle, normal usage and under heavy load such as gaming?appreciate it much =) Yeah still using it. The CPU and GPU is not the main concern, because it can tolerate much higher heat than that, what concerns me that made me sold my A42Je is the harddrive temperature, just look at that, 48-49C is not a good sight at all, mine could reach 52C when gaming.
To compare, on 4743ZG right now while browsing no air conditioner and balanced profile This post has been edited by Najmods: Apr 11 2011, 12:51 AM |

Yes, it's not a seagate issue either.. My new SSD even runs in 38-48 range, a bit worrying lol..
