260.99 doesn't work then? :/ Have you tried using a 259.xx driver?

I wonder what MXM class slot the GT335M uses.
Maybe can mod it to a GTX260M |

The GT335M uses the MXM 3 as standard (same as GTX260M), but I haven't taken the time to open up my A42Jv just yet. Hopefully it's not soldered considering it's a mid range GPU.

But that's why we got Power4Gear. Reduces the clockspeed and theoretically power consumption.

Power4Gear High Performance by default sets your CPU clock at 100% at all times, meaning if let's say you have an Intel i5-450M which runs at 2.4GHz (100% CPU state), it will be at a minimum 2.4GHz, never down throttling. This does not include TB yet iinm.
But if you use Battery Saving mode, it throttles it down to about 66% or maximum speed and won't go any higher until you change the mode. So I just use Entertainment mode. Max 100%, min 5% CPU state. |

How bad is the price for, let's say a Sabertooth x58 there? I find forking out RM800 for a board of that caliber very palatable.

And if paired with something like a GT425M, it'll take a huge chunk of performance out of it. OS: Win7 Home Premium Screen: 15.6-inch 1366x768 pixels Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-520M (2.45GHz) Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GT425M 1GB VRAM (3D vision ready) Memory: 4GB Ram Storage: 500Gb Connections: N Bluetooth Mic, headphone out, VGA, 3.0 USB, LAN, eSata, Card reader Optical drive: Blu-ray Combo, Blu-ray read only Dimensions/Weight: 391x266x31/2.71kg The specs for N43 about the same, just a 13inch and 15 inch difference. The B&O speakers are wonderful! Disadv: they should have 120hz 3D led screens. instead of normal 60hz besides that, are really good laptop for multimedia. very quite too The N43Jf has a i5-480M though. QUOTE(astria @ Jan 30 2011, 11:10 AM) i3 dun ve... Depends on the series. i5-400M series boosts both cores to the max speed. i5-500M series only does it for one, if both cores are boosted, the they won't reach the maximum stated TB speed.and get this straight too, Turbo Boost only boost the speed of 1 core while the other is in sleep mode... |
