I don't think my JV is slow during boot. How bout yours Eugene?

Mine is definitely a lot slower than before... There was a time I got around 40 seconds but that requires quite a bit of maintainance really often.. Adding that I do a bit of torrent n install junks, it's probably around 1minute+ now

Mine was and still boots in about a minute. I blame the amount of data I shift on this thing.

i think my laptop overheats alot.. it reaches 99 to 100 just now. and the whole system slows down alot.. sad.gif

does reformatting the laptop change the laptop's bios to the older one?

now my 42jv, mcm got more serious problem.seem i cant start up my lappy, it just stuck at the logo screen and the hdd led is not blinking at all, which mean the hdd spoilt?

if yes then, demm...i havent do backup fr all those entertaiment folder inside..><

cant even go into bios, it just stuck at the initial "ASUS" logo screen with the black background....

Tried the unplug battery and hold power button ?

Unplug anything that connect to the notebook except the power...

Nope, its sound like the BIOS problem...
If HDD dead, it should say something like "Operating system not found"..

Either send back to Asus or do blind-flashing BIOS (which I'm not familiar with)...

Flashing the bios itself is just under 1 minute...
The actual delay, I'm not sure, expect 1 week?..

Might as well ask to fix the wifi as well ?

Might want to take out the hdd and copy the content first...

i did...i use ccleaner ... w7 manager to run and clean all junk files and registry key some more ....but now is ok a bit...faster aroun 10 sec////cuz i defragment it when boots com....but i wan it fast a little bit more... cry.gif

i thinking is that possible i burn out all movie that stick inside my C drive so it will fast a bit ??
beside...i am just backup my C drive files...so if i wan use back up files..will it like ACER...means totally help u restore back at the time that u first use ur com....
