urgent, need help here...,my a42jv...after kena blue screen,and restart.
Then my laptop fail to detect the Nvidia Graphic card. Anyone encounter such thing before? thx..

i had tried, my driver installer is 258.96 but is not working, it will pop up some error message like:

"The Nvidia Setup Program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware.Setup will now exit"

And when i check in the device manager, under the display adapter, only got Intel® HD graphics.

Any idea? seem my laptop cant detect the vga card at all..

thx lee, now i plug in the battery and with the adapter, it can detect the nvidia card.

Any idea regarding this kind of issue? and would it ok if i update the vga driver to 260.99?

hi all, just want to ask if any a42jv owner or other model user, experience problem with the wireless device?

cause i seem cant see any wireless device under the "network adapters" in device manager...any chances on hw to fix this? thanks...

thx fr the feedback, bt nw i can see the wireless device under device manager, but i cant get any connection at all, even x able to create adhoc wireless connection, guess something is not working...

regarding driver, ehmm..i nvr do any uninstalling job before, the problem just occurs not long ago after i restart my lappy...

now my 42jv, mcm got more serious problem.seem i cant start up my lappy, it just stuck at the logo screen and the hdd led is not blinking at all, which mean the hdd spoilt?

if yes then, demm...i havent do backup fr all those entertaiment folder inside..><

cant even go into bios, it just stuck at the initial "ASUS" logo screen with the black background....

tried for many time, with battery and without battery.....if this still not work, should be concluded that the hdd mati?

eh, then hw to solve it? sent it back to the asus?....
cz previously is the wireless device problem, nw it bcm BIOS ed..hmmm

hmm...a week without lappy,@_@... for sure need to fix the wifi thing oso, but is kinda funny when it can work for sometime and then disconnect.

i just stick with the 258 version, it can played sc2 in high setting.... think it is more stable compare to the latest version? =)

eh, funny thing is..i able to turn on my pc lasnite after tried for 10+ time,..it macam more ok edi,.. bt still better sent back to asus to check it..

eh, i havent touch on it yet, cz nt quite sure how to do with the BIOS stuff, but i managed to backup all my thing now.

eh, there were 2 BIOS (BIOS HISTORY) and BIOS-Utilities , can help to point which to be download??

just want to confirm, the restore CD, totally gt 4? after re-image and flash the bios oso cant solve my laptop problem, i think im force to sent it back to service center.

after 1 week i sent my lappy to the asus service centre, finally i get back my unit..wv a new wireless, HDD and motherboard....
