u should have gotten the V911 as mentioned many times in the last few posts ... cheap .. almost crash proof .. and flies more like a real RC heli

GP = gas powered
EP = electric powered
CP = collective pitch

zaku90: haha WL is some china wan right, i think i have a RC drift car by WL also.. ill go look if can find @ RM130.. what is the shop name selling at Time Square?
QiW: besides v911 what else bigger ones that can recommend? i tot v911 is the medium size, i checked in the internet its actualy a mini rc copter..
*
usually ... bigger = more $$$
and all the bigger ones u see in the market now will break something in a crash
your pocket ... u decide

yes the 911 is quite small .. but it can be flown in moderate winds outdoors once u get used to the controls

maybe u can try Walkera V200D02, i have 1...it is my 1st Fixed pitch heli, bigger that v911 and can fly outdoor with small wind. but the problem with this heli is the tail blade and main gear...very easy broke if u crash.  smile.gif
*
walkera spare parts not cheap at all .. and not easily available .. hehehehe

the 911 handles outdoor winds pretty well ... i tried it today
my fren was surprised to see the little thing handling the wind well

definitely handles wind much much better than the esky lama v3/v4 .. u just have to know how to handle the heli

Added on May 7, 2012, 8:17 pmthe 1st video was captured (quadcopter) with on board camera (GOPRO) which explains no interference at HD res
2nd video was captured (plane) thru "live" transmission downlink using SD card video recorder .. this one u can see lots of interference

both flown FPV (first person view) .. just like u are sitting inside the aircraft

i bought it for RM130, mode 1... biggrin.gif
*
are u sure its the proper mode 1 ??
i am aware this 911 is only brought in as mode 2 .. u or the seller will have to go thru quite a lot of work to convert it to a proper mode 1

user posted image

ailerons = tilt left/right of copter
elevators = tilt forward/backward of copter
rudder/yaw = change the direction left/right the copter is facing
throttle = minyak laaa .. hahahahahaaa

check those movements against the diagram above .. if all correspond properly then u have the proper mode that u asked for

where did u buy the "proper mode 1" ??

the reason why mode 4 ... is mostly becoz those ESKY LAMA sellers just swap the gimbals over without re-doing any of the internal wiring
i oso kena like that .. but lucky i found out early when i started ccpm helis before my reflexes koyak to mode 4 .. hahahaha

most of the TOY GRADE copters have 3 channels only .. rudder and elevator on the right stick and throttle on the left stick

in most cases, it's just gimbals swap and some switch flicking involved(servo reverser). no re-soldering or what so ever required. not too hard actually, just need to pay attention to what you are doing.

Added on May 8, 2012, 4:24 pm

..and the 5th channel is the collective(for 6ch heli that is).
*
5th channel is not for collective in ccpm .. it is normally used as remote gyro gain channel
if u do not use radio to adjust your gyro gain then 5 channels sufficient for ccpm heli

in the case of 911 micro heli .. there is no case of simple swap
soldering IS REQUIRED ...
if u fly futaba then no need la .. just swap springs only .. and set the mode via radio software

can i know what is the benefit of changing into alloy part for the v911?? haha..
*
metal parts = less flex = more precision in movement/control
with the v911 .. if u put that in .. it will be prone to damage from crashes coz metal is not flexible like plastic
and wit the v911 .. u do not gain much benefit at all since the gyro control is so strong and not adjustable
save your $$$ .. just fly the 911 until u are PRO with it .. then can consider going to a ccpm heli

Added on May 14, 2012, 4:37 pmyesterday's fly session compressed into 5min .. hehehehe
