as for which type of glider ... they have the same basic characteristics most of the time
its the size and budget ..
i choose cloudsfly AXN glider ... but lots of place currently out of stock .. its less than rm300 RTF
u just need a radio + receiver + battery to fly it ... then again u will of coz need a battery charger oso laa .. hahahaa

why not start with something cheap and small more crash resistant and u can have lots of practice with ??
like something i recommended earlier ... previous page
if u still wanna go ahead with the belt CP .. then no problem but the learning curve and crash/repair process will be relatively high and expensive
dont say we didnt tell u ...

yes .. the extended shaft will minimise .. not eliminate blade strikes
as for cheap and quality .. those 2 words do not go well together .. hehehe
so u will need to shop around and look see look see to compare .. dunno much about lama parts/price/availability on my side .. i only flew one for less than 2 weeks b4 the wind blew it up onto someone's roof .. hahahahaa

malaysia i dont think can get such big RC motors
just order from overseas .. nothing too difficult

i think most of the KDS parts are compatible with ALIGN parts depending on which part la .. u can bring the damaged part to RC shops selling ALIGN parts and compare

u cannot call me real name coz kyoshooo oso same name .. hahahahaaha
depending on which quad u are talking about ..
my fpv quad with 10x4.5 props hovers just below half throttle ...
my small rempit quad with 8x4 props hovers at even lower throttle ...
it all depends on power to weight ratio

all my fixed wings use acro @ normal plane mode
glider mode too many settings .. too complicated to set up unless i got rm10k glider laa .. hahahahahahaaa

my skysurfer oso servo mounted on the side of the fuse .. the servo horn sticking out the side and the push rods going out the side ... for both elevator and rudder
that way more space inside for fpv stuff laa .. hahahahaaa
but i think my skysurfer 1 more flight then i will prolly retire it from fpv duties .. moving the the electronics to a FALCON

i started with something similar to this ..

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/_...PAL_520TVL.html
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/_...ide_Screen.html

thats it ... then i read up a little about how to DIY antennas to get better reception and made those antennas
u may wanna include backup like RTH/OSD ... just in case

the above will get u 2km if your RC radio can

from there on things will get expensive

i am using 8 of these ESCs ... http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/_...grammable_.html
never disappointed me
lesser wobble than the blue series 30a that i have
with these motors .. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/u...?idProduct=8622
and 10x4.5 props .. 8mins flight easy if u dont push it hard on a 2200mah 3S
it oso depends what FCB u use .. if u choose the DJI NAZA then it will be fussy with ESCs .. if KK then very good match

mr shock ... i am using the FOXTECH AIO goggles since early last year .. http://www.foxtechfpv.com/allinone-fpv-gog...hade-p-229.html
very good stuff .. quite a few fellas in MRC oso jumping from fatsharks to this one .. hehehehe

My apartment has a very small balcony only, not good enough to take off from there lah tongue.gif Furthermore I am on 12th floor, too scare to fly at that kind of altitude ... hohohoho

That small padang for night flying is pretty safe from crime because it is in my apartment's compound ... kekkekeke the only worry is mosquito and dengue!

Your walkera heli looks pretty nice lah with LED also, but too bad I think my "camera man" cannot accept more flying machines to go into the house after the quad sad.gif
*
as long as balcony wide enuff for quad to go thru then can already .. hahahahahaa
12th floor or 2nd floor is all a state of mind .. hehehe

this was the one you mentioned to me earlier, right? i just realized some months ago that this thing uses 45 degree flybar just like the cb180q. flight characteristic is more like a coax than an FP/CP. so if someone is moving from coax, this is not gonna improve much(in my case la).
*
yup ... this is supposed to be an EZ to fly thing for fun
it flies like a 4 channel .. only easier like a coaxial for slo and steady stuff
for serious stuff then have to go CCPM already .. hehehee
