dont have PLUSH 25A with me laa ... but i would go for the HK blue series 30A if i were u
damm good ESCs ... very linear throttle response ... a little bit hotter than usual but no problems there i have ran those blue series 40a to more than 60a coz i did not check power consumption of my plane ... and ESC was inside fuselage ... damm hot but no power cut or anything ... till today still running that ESC ... hehehe my fav ESCs >> up to 40a blue series .. PLUSH series ... and HK SS 90-100a << these soft starts nothing like the ALIGN one la of coz but the align 35X has the best soft start ... the above are all reliable in my list ... TESTED la of coz if u want cheap ... then go for the HK SS CRAD PROGRAMMABLE ones ... they have blue cable going to motor ... the other HK SS has black these CARD PROGRAMMABLE HK SS are oso very good ... super bang for buck This post has been edited by QiW: Dec 14 2011, 01:18 PM |

quad is almost same price as playing with 450 heli maybe a little more depending on what u wanna do
if u DIY then for sure will be much cheaper than 450 heli la .. my DIY quad only cost me rm400+ not including rx and batt la .. hahahaha or u can go for (my recommendation gaui 330 or 500) ... rm1150 and 1600 respectively ... RTF |

yaw ... same thing .. couple of the motors spins faster and the other 2 slower ... depending on the direction u wanna yaw
it depends on torque roll of the motors to yaw the copter slight mod can be made to better the yaw rate/authority by tilting the motors for slightly slanted down thrust |

to handle wind better ... u will need a single rotor heli
the bigger the better it tackles the wind having said that ... my little 4G6s which is a lot smaller than the ESKY LAMA takes outdoor winds quite happily ... hehehehe |

very good hover already ... take those ping pong balls OFF ... they hinder more than they help IMO
another tip .. i noticed u still unsure about the throttle when u are about to land ... just cut throttle the moment copter touches ground and dont move the cyclic (unless u are already starting to tip over .. hehehe) .. that will help in NOT TIPPING OVER without ping pong balls ... hehehe |

walkera makes pretty good helis from my experience
BUT ... the parts are relatively expensive ... art tech is an unknown brand to me ... basically those u listed are just coaxials that u use to fly indoors ... i guess either one that fits your budget and liking will do if u are serious about learning ... get this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/_...TF_Mode_2_.html or this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/_...Ghz_Tx_V2_.html either one of these will serve u in the learning process in the RC heli world |

get a SIMULATOR !!!!
google flight simulator and u will have quite a few choices .. these simulators helped most of today's rc pilots fly and learn without the cost of too many crashes ... the walkera lama is possibly worse than the ESKY LAMA outdoors ... it is much smaller and does not like wind at all .. hehehe ESKY is much cheaper too i might add .. and they are basically the same type of heli the cb180 series seems like good for hovering only ... forward flight is close to impossible without some serious mod or totally ZERO WIND condition (based on my personal observations) |
