that motor can only use 8x4 or 8x4.5
good enuff for aerobatics ...
i use 18awg wires for my ESC/motor as well as ESC/batt ... whichever that needs extension ... handles the current easily

u mean the 2822 .... not 2282 motor
those motors u will need to use either 8x4 or 8x4.5
those KV ratings are meant for aerobatics mostly

if u just wanna fly around ... maybe with some light video or photography equipment .. then this one will be fine and cheap (i am using them) http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/u...?idproduct=8622 ... and it can take 10x4.5 props no problem

as for the KK5.5e ... the LCD is not necessary
u will only NEED it IF u use XXCONTROL firmware .. ie. setting using the LCD
other firmwares u can physically turn the pots on the board itself

the last link u put is a combo motor/ESC set for airplane ...
buy 4 sets of those ?
kv is too high ... unless u plan to use 2S

450mm frame can ... just less agile .. i have the same electronics on my 480mm now that was on a 380mm frame before ... no prob
with a bigger frame u tend to put more stuff like cam and bigger batt which makes it heavier ... so it will feel like it has lesser power unless u maintain everything the same except for the bigger frame size laa
if u do so then there is no reason to use a bigger frame what ... hahahaha

what is your primary goal for your multirotor ?? hehehehe

aerobatic & fpv totally different type of flying laaa
unlikely u can do both on the same frame/setup

u just have to make sure u have all the parts bought b4 the holidays .. otherwise it will be a half stuck project .... hahahahaa

happy CNY to u and all others celebrating it too !!!!

to make clear my previous statement about 18AWG
i use 18AWG to extend ESC-motor and/or ESC to batt
on a quad ... 4 ESCs with 18AWG will converge into a single wire (i use 12-14AWG) which will be soldered to a battery connector plug (XT60 in my case)

guys;

does a stock belt CP v2 works well enough for normal flight? as in no acrobatics.

originally planning to get a honey bee 2, but i think a belt CP is better for the long run. although, i'm not really into CP at the moment.

BCP is ok la i suppose ... hehehehe
mr daddoo is an ex owner of BCP ... he can help u here

flew a BCP for the 1st time last weekend ... hahahaha
it belongs to a newbie who wanted to maiden it ... so i test flew it and trimmed it out for him
IMO .. the input response lagged so much its not funny .. plus once i got it a little further out the stock radio link seems to be a little unstable
did not crash la of coz ... managed to bring it back down safe and sound
mr newbie took it up the next flight .. swung the heli around too fast and minor crash ... from what i see not much or almost no damage
he did not turn up the next day to fly ... hahahaahaa

to optimise range and reception laa ... its what the receiver do what .. hahahaha
places where u might lose reception for the orange rx i will prolly still have mine tongue.gif

Added on February 2, 2012, 9:46 pmso far the video above is quite low ... around human height 200m away still no lost of control ... hehehehe
original rx i dunno if it will or will not lose la at that height .. prolly not since its not that far
i just apply what i have learnt to the mod to optimise the orange

it is all AI controlled ... so they can program the AI to control anything at anytime but not useable in real life RC
always nice to see what things can do but we oso have to be realistic .. hehehehe

Consequences of forgetting the idle up switch while doing flip  whistling.gif  whistling.gif  whistling.gif  whistling.gif
Heli still can flip but the ESC engaged in soft start ........

[attachmentid=2682571]
*
u must have been fully negative on throttle to engage soft start ... normally soft start only comes in IF u leave the throttle position in ZERO for more than 3 seconds
thats what i read from the manual ..
anyways .. since u so free .. rebuilding is a good past time .. hehehe
