unlike Nantha who seemed to have lost, Shukor Adan had a good game yesterday. probably one of the few players that must be praised, alongside the keeper and central defense. Fauzi Nan also had a fairly good match except for the goal where he failed to win/block the ball. and yes, both strikers weren't good enough and we did miss few great chances because of them. Hairuddin Omar is good player when it comes to ball control and passing accuracy, but he's a striker and what he should've done was to score goals and do it effectively. he and Nizaruddin never really looked threatening and that's why they failed.

Added on January 29, 2007, 9:05 amKekalkan skuad sekarang

i agree we should maintain the squad but we have to replace our goalkeeper and strikers. we need more prolific striker other than nizaruddin and hairuddin. akmal rizal maybe get his chance after come back from injuries, and we do need some pacey striker

Enough said about the national team. Everybody were disappointed with the result and performance. They should have killed the lion at our ground but didnt. That was the biggest mistake. Anyway lets look for the future. What happen already happen. As i said before saying is easier than doing it.

We were unlucky to lose that match..UNLUCKY. Singapore couldnt break our defence and midfield. We were unlucky coz we didnt have good strikers. And I would strongly disagree with Abd. Rahman, the team needs few changes. Hopefully We will call up Akmal Rizal and Azlan Ismail, and probably few other players from our league. I believe this is a good platform for us to build a good team for AFC Cup.

What he mean what not to overhaul completely the team like FAM used to do after every disappointed tournament. Just a few tweak would be wise rather than totally disband all the team and pick another batch of players and hope them to mix and play fluently in short time. Akmal Rizal is good but he's like forever injured one after another of injuries. doh.gif Now that what we called unlucky. ohmy.gif

shakehead.gif ...come lah..FAM must do something to national squad..retain only those who perform well..core of the team...no playmaker/leader in the team...the striker must backup...we need a winger who can dribbles past defender..and good crosses..ini 70-80% crosses like budak sekolah rendah...either too high or too low...we still play w/out proper system...still takut2..no confidence...apalagi kalau critical condition, very easy losing possesion to rivals. Our players must go oversea to play..at least korea, china, japan, arabs or thai league. then can dream to play euro league...

what else to say.
same ol' performance, maybe we watched it just to see whether the sponsor suits the play. all that needs to be commented, has been done.
It kept me wondering why a nation that is so into football, cant excel in it? is it the pay? is it the lack of passion? is it politics? is it personal problem? God, please help. show them signs.

i hate that banner. i really hate it. it kinda gave me that sucker punch. i felt like puking after that last penalty saved. we should piss in the pipe where our water flows to their country. the banner has disappoint me for being a malaysian, but it also turn me into a stronger person so i can teach the next generation to be stronger.

tigers can kick a lions ass anyday. just bring it on.

Alot of ppl here watched too much of EPL or La Liga and expected our national players to emulate them.. shakehead.gif

Even da players themselves oso felt tat they're playing like da pros in EPL crossing here and there.. sweat.gif

But yet they did play a decent game and im proud of wat they've achieve..Too bad we cant make it into da finals but hey at least we wont be trashed by da Thais... laugh.gif

we lost in the air actually against singapore, the tallest player that can challenge them is only nanthakumar. while the singaporeans didn't reli play nice football compared to malaysian but their crosses in to the box is always dangerus.

When big money and " glamour " comes in then so do people who have fantasies about themselves, who know nuts about the game , never even played primary school football.

In the past , when there was no Super league , no Astro , no money in the game .

PURE AMATEURS like mokthar , chin aun , chung wah , bakri ibni etc ,set the WORLD alight with their superb fast passing skillful game .

When I think back about it , it seems like dream that it never happened but it DID !

Where was all the tengku tengku VIPS then ? when the game was rough ( well I don't think it was that bad but most people today would ) , remote and unglamorous.

they never had their heart in it and never will .

its human nature..... and unfortunately for malaysia, the people here are have the "jaguh kampung" mentality.

best in malaysia = i am the best.....

i doubt malaysia will ever reach the height like those achieved by chin aun, chung wah, moktar and co again. it will and will remains as a dream.

shakehead.gif ...come on lah..the status of malaysian futball is really sucks...just look at the FIFA ranking man..how low can we gooo...u wan our ranking to below Ethiopia, bhutan, Timor-timor or greenland then evrybody terkejut katak...kelam-kabut. This is nothing to do wif our watching too much EPL or LA LIGA..so expectation not very high to national team...,never compare bolton, man city or sevilla to skuad rimau..but our footballers didnt put heart and soul and didnt love the game man....its big difference between 70's & 80's Malaysia wif our current footballers...even South Korea , Japan , China , Thailand has improved their game thus we are free falling...they watched EPL & La Liga too..but their players is smart, really learn the positive side of European game, fast ,pacy , quick thinking, skillful, if not 100%, then 60-70% should done good to the team.

One thing I must say our player should improve physical and stamina. Skills is not alone, but team work and good physical also play important role.
I had to say, playing against Asean team, skill not so important. Why? Because the standard is low. Good physical and stamina will have the edge. Just run around and chase around opponents. Sure the opponents will lost way, because they just don't have the skill to do good passing and ball control.
Our team is bit lembik, if you compare with euro or african, they so fit and good stamina can run and chase around. If we don't have the skill, but we can train our physical and stamina to match opponents skills.
