Too bad for us for going out via penalties, but I felt that Spore were the better team in terms of organisation and team play. Our passes went sloppy especially in the extra time, but we did create chances albeit very limited.

oh, like that huh? So sad lah if like that coz this is the 3rd time we lost to Singapore in penalties... the two other times are last year, during the two series challenge (we lost first at Singapore, 5-6 and at Paroi, 8-9 - if not mistaken)

Makes me laff when I hear all these " patriots " clamouring for 3rd rate foreigners when MY lost on pens only .

May I remind them that when MY was a great team there was NO foreign player whatsoever .

Anyway not as if SG won the Asian cup , this is just small fry , in the 90's they also won without foreigners .

Confirms my belief that a lot of today's so called fans are glamour queens ,win at all costs . Quality and patriotism LAST .

They have no idea what it is real pride was to represent your class , your house , your school , your club etc .

after I saw the game..i can see that singapore is not a strong team..we just didnt have luck..thats all...anyway good performance by the malaysians..at least we dont have to import players to strenghten the team..

Patriotism or not, it's a fact that we were not the better team tonight. Foreigners or not, we lost and that is a fact. Having foreigners playing for a national team is of course not the ideal thing to have, but most importantly, our national team have to work out whatever short comings we have, and one day reestablish ourselves as a fearsome team in Asia, at least South East Asia.

Well....they have to work more harder ...and next time strike again...

at least they have improvement....

See that's what I mean , a lot of guys don't even know HOW MY use to play in the old days , they have NOT even made an effort to find out , then you will see what playing at international level really is .

This current lot are a joke , the standard is not high at all !

true.rather than complaining about SG's decision to bring foreigners and our decision for no to bring 1, we should focus on improving the attitude, and work harder.foreigners are not the answer IMHO

The last generation to have ANY standard was the Dollah Salleh / Lim tiong kim group , after that it was basically down all the way .

What we need is the Malaysia Cup back and not this Superleague junk .

And we need LESS $ in the sport and more desire / passion , but I admit straight out , that may not be achievable anymore , because we have spoilt them.

Truely agree.....too young to be exposed....just sub in also kenot run.....and the PK is soooooooooooo weak/tame shud be our capt. taken the fifth shot..........

and Nantha seems completely lost during 2nd half........wrong positioning, silly passes....and run like 'unta' no power.

Singapore isn't a strong team? Why we still can win over them? Why we cant hold 1-0 from start to the end, stop saying bcoz no luck, isnt a reason, they got import players isn't a reason again.
If bcoz they got 3 import player inside their team, thats why we lost that game, then we better only always play with those Asean only like Laos, Indonesia, Thailand. Philippines, Brunei and else....

if Singapore is considered as strong, then we're just as strong as them. nothing separated both teams except the shootout. we played well and created few great chances. the defense were solid except for the goal where the cross should've been blocked/stopped. Khaironnisam and Norhafiz Zamani were impressive imo.

luck plays an important role too when it comes to penalty. they were lucky and we were not. congratz to Singapore but i must say that we also deserved to get into the final. still proud of our team although we lost. we didn't import any foreign player, yet we still gave a great fight. there're still many rooms for improvement, and i hope they will.

Are the Singapore import foreign player like Ronaldo, Beckham or Lampard standard.... if yes, i will be very very pround of our soccer team at least only lose in penalty kick...
