QUOTE(tenno @ Dec 29 2006, 09:33 AM)
This is why most of teams (even our national team) using foreign coaches fails :

Konflik dalam NS NAZA

What's the point of hiring foreign coaches if U dun wanna listen to them ? I tell U one of the root causes of Malaysian football failure is the players are too manja. Training lebih sikit, complain to manager. Coach tengking sikit, complain to Menteri Besar. How to improve ? Anybody saw TV3 8 o'clock news yesterday ? Our current gymnastic coach is from China. He said, what Malaysian gymnastic team is doing now is only 50% of what the Chinese team is doing, & yet they always complain. For our team to succeed at international level he said, our commitment must be double of what we give now, commitment to training, parents commitment, etc.

There was a documentary in Discovery couple of months back, in Inside China I think. It showed the journey of a kid wanting to get a place in China's Olympic gymnastic team. Our kids here, baru menang satu medal Sukma, want to be treated like superstar edi. Attitude....

It's not just football, it's sports in general. How does locals like Nicol David, Karamjit Singh can become World Champion in sports dominated by Europeans ? Commitment, professionalism, attitude. That's what keep U going even if there's no support from anybody, especially govt (read: Karamjit Singh).

About MyTeam, good thing they've been winning games. But this very team that everybody said is going to revive Malaysian football, is managed by a very outspoken politician (which many said is another cause why our sports is so bad) : Mr Khairy Jamaludin. Very anxious to see how this team will fare this season. Bojan is a good coach I think, if the players can follow his instructions, maybe they can fare well enuf.

i totally agree. i also agree with nicol david for her reason on why she prefer to train at oversea. for the football case in malaysia, i think the least standard for us is to be no.2 if not no.1 at south east asia level. we even lose to s'spore and indonesia. dunno when we gonna lost to the philipine's and myanmar or maybe loas. c'mon la....

i agree too wif oversea tarinning... they are more displine, tight and tough.. i.e soccer in europe, they train like hell in their area to get better in their skill... must be good, not good coach not afraid to leave the player side and choose another player...  eventhough the player left is star...

its been awhile since we last heard of our Titus Anthony who train at France. anybody know what the status he is rite now?? i hope that there will b more footballer like him at malaysia who really committed to do well. our previous footballer sent (by FAM) to train at oversea all flunk. they dont even make it to our national team nowadays. sad.gif i agree that we dont need quick fix like Japan or Spore who hav foriegn player at their national team. but the standard set our own national team is a sight for sore eye. our own FAM didnt even expect our team can make it to the quarter final at the recent Asia game at Doha. no expectation mean no pressure for our player to perform well. need to say more.

its very hard to beat the thais la. their players more exprience than ours and the game a bit faster than ours. i still hope that m'sia will go thru. a draw is the best we can do and hope myanmar wont score more than 4 goals.

we hav the advantage as we are the home side. base on the football itself we can win the match. but wether the player gonna deliver a not is another question.

it's been awhile i see the msia team in action , so i dont how their improvement went. wat i affraid is that, during the early round those sporean didn't show their true quality. i hav seen them play and they can really go a bit more.

lol, I just heard on the news today that local players are unhappy that they are not given the chance to play in the clubs.

i thought they are playing in the local league with their respective clubs or states. then how the hell the team selection is done?? by wat our malaysia team coaches and manager judge a player if he is not playing regular football? if they are not good enough for the club, wat make them think the player gonna b useful for our national team. commom sense here pls.
