There're still people who bash P1 for the Inspira rebadge? Read the news people, read the old news, P1 isn't the only one doing it.

There're still people bashing Korean car manufacturers even though they are clearly in a new improved phase? With recent cars fitted with as much goodies as possible yet still receives so much hate?

These people never cease to amuse me. You want cheap car but cheap car doesn't come with goodies you complain. Now you get cheap car with so much goodies, you still complain.

Poor quality cars with not so cheap pricetags you complain. Now you basically get a jap car at a much cheaper pricetag and you still complain.

IMO, both cars are good. Choose what you like by relating the pros and cons of the cars instead of all the unnecessary bashings on the manufacturers.

Lancer EX/Inspira 2.0 gets my vote. Test the car, I can feel its lighter when stepping on the pedal. Maybe I never drive a 2.0l car yet. So far only a VOLVO 940 Turbo (2.4l) but its heavier and firm driving experience on highway. Hope no problem on the QC for current release from Proton. Good luck Proton! smile.gif

Kia Forte is fine but the after market parts will be troublesome for Malaysia.

All i see is a bunch of factless bashers.
Does ur car comes with 5 star euro ncap to bash us?

Mostly are non inspira/lancer and non forte owners bashing korean cars senselessly

So unless u cant prove that the forte is tin milo, plz do provides ur sources, pictures, links,  facts if not dont just senselessly comment.
We have already given these pictures, we have euro safety ncap already given the car a 5 star.

Having ESC alone already proven to avoid accidents by as high 41% according to reseach. Check out the youtube i gave earlier.

Now these are already outstanding features on a sub 100k car.

Not that I doubt the safety of Forte, but would you please give me the link, because I can't find it on EuroNCAP website.

Like I'd said, I have no doubt about the safety of Forte. I just can't find its rating on EuroNCAP, that's all. And please don't say all NCAP are all the same.

You are right. I don't think the current Forte has been tested by Euro NCAP. Found the 2010 Kia Forte NHTSA crash test results though. They seem rather good though only for the models with side airbags. These results are for 2010. The 2011 crash test regulations are tougher

finally, tested Inspira. I think like what most of you folks said, inspira does give me a better driving pleasure compare to forte.

overall, i think both cars are good (besides, IMHO, both after sales services also sux at the moment and can be further improved).

anyhow, that aside, for the price I pay, I decided to go for forte end of the day. I know that the 2nd value might not be there and the spare parts are pretty costly, but hey it's still an imported car with rich features and reasonable price.

well, that's just my opinion. for time being, will wait and see if the 6-gearbox forte will release or not in the market before I decided to make the booking.

On a side track, wanna ask if you guys know any diff between a campro and a turbo campro engine? Does turbo campro gives higher performance with more fuel savings?

I'm thinking to get a MPV as well. Exora is my bet, but when I know it's Campro engine, it turns me off.

there's a turbo campro engine??!!?!

or its aftermarket?? well...i believe so as long its a low pressure turbine and you dont spool it up all the time, ur FC should be alright...

well i'm driving the BLM and so far the campro engine has served me well for long distance (penang x2, thailand x1 and genting bla bla...)..

cruising speed for a 1.3 is not bad and overtaking whilst doing 100kmh is alright la..wont say its a breeze but sufficient..

exora is 1.6 so it should be a lil better...

havent drove the inspira before but took the 2.0 forte up to genting before...have to say it has a plush ride and good brakes..i like plush but then again i havent tested an inspira, which should have better handling than a lancer...
