but i feel the IQ using reversal ring is better...isnt it? since no extra piece of glass attached...

dont know. but what I do know is ive seen someone using reversal rings and tube extenders to get a 16:1 magnification.

ahpingko try use it 1:1 use to it 1st then you use 16:1
16:1 is no easy to handle.

ahpingko : i tried the sal75300 with cheap macro filter. after 100mm cant see damn thing already through viewfinder , if try shoot at small aperture should get something. but even so the DoF is extremely small/tight
8tvt : one is reversal ring filter, the other one is just reversal ring (direct mount on camera). dunno its proper name thou
Mikeshashimi : teknically put tissue or something to open the aperture lever normally people just open it wide wide (widest aperture), probably can if u can agak the aperture opening
. if guna the 2 lens method then can control the aperture on the lens mounted on body
