Guys, I was window shopping earlier and decided to finally do something about the fingerprint and oil friendly and bloody reflective SGS screen. Had a matte screen protector installed - touching and moving fingers on the screen is so much nicer now (quite shiok actually), but the noticeable rainbow effect is kinda bothersome.

Anyone can recommend a screen protector that is not reflective, non-matte if possible, anti oil and anti fingerprint without the dreaded rainbow effect?

P/S I've been told that anti-reflective SPs will be matte for sure, and will definitely have some level of rainbow effect. Even the famous Steinheil matte SP does not claim to be rainbow-free (http://www.sgpstore.com/cell-phone/samsung/galaxy-s/sgp-samsung-galaxy-s-i9000-screen-protector-steinheil-series.html).

I guess nothing will be an all rounder. like phones, none is perfect. there's always a trade-off. Matte is nice with the touches, but im usin Steinheil Oleophobic tongue.gif
EDIT: Steinheil Ultra Oleophobic is not anti oil and fingerprint btw, I find it more prone to fingerprints and oil than the naked screen. I can hardly have my own fingerprints when using the naked screen. but nonetheless, stil better compared to others smile.gif

First thing u shud do is to use EDGE instead of 3G.. thats one of the main battery suckers.. do tat by goin into ur settings -> Wireless and network -> mobile network -> Network Mode.. and then click GSM only..

the other thing i do is to keep my brightness always at the lowest setting. If u really wanna save summore battery then u shudnt use live wallpaper and use a wallpaper that is the closest colour to black.

This shud keep ur fone lasting the whole day.. but remember charge ur fone every night.

I had a matte SP before. The feel is nice cause it's not sticky. But I don't like the matte (tiny tiny dots) affects my display.
I replaced it with SGP Ultra Oleophobic. It's super nice. But I got one air bubble which I can't get rid of it. Sianzzzzz

I guess it's a toss up between having reflective with no rainbow or matte with rainbow... sigh..

For starters, try reading the info compiled in the first few posts of this thread. Lots of knowledge for you to pick up from there.

this is why http://lifehacker.com/5650894/android-task...ouldnt-use-them
you don't need a task killer for android. let it handles the system itself smile.gif

both are nice, but ultra oleophobic doesn't affect your Super Amoled display. in my opinion, the naked screen is the best tongue.gif
