Another easy way to get the Iphone 4 looking interface on our SGS...Use ADW Launcher as your launcher. Go to paid Market and look for ADW themes. Over there you can buy iPhone 4, iPad themes etc....
Samsung Galaxy S I9000 Official Thread V7, Please read FAQ at 1st page!!

QUOTE(jujx @ Nov 12 2010, 02:44 PM) The flagship photo http://www.engadget.com/photos/exclusive-s...y-2011/#3564241 Yup, it is likely photoshop. The angle of the icons (appeared taken from front view) doesn't suit the angle of the phone which is slightly tilted....those icons looks like MIUI rom from nexus and desire. strange. Must be photoshop |

QUOTE(drexar @ Nov 13 2010, 09:52 PM) for me both iOS and Android are the best we can't simply compare both coz they are not in the same league. There is no perfect phone.Iphone and SGS are meant for 2 different group of people. You know which group you belong. For me, I'm enjoying Android for its endless possibility n flexibility. |

QUOTE(hxcpride @ Nov 16 2010, 05:58 PM) Ha ha, I gave up waiting for now....I flashed to Doc's ROM JPO 7.6.2 2 days ago....no regrets so far...loving it....But discover a few weird thing....I installed the Base to Medium and then Medium to Full Add On......but I still don't have the so called "tweaked" Launcher Pro Plus.....so, I'm using the ADW Launcher now.... I also couldn't find the Gallery app, so had to download Gallery 3D from the Market.... I can't find the Screen Capture function too???? Added on November 16, 2010, 6:07 pm QUOTE(Crossover @ Nov 16 2010, 06:05 PM) 1) Check from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=817703 look under alternative modems Hey, thanks for the quick response. Really appreciate it.2) Download it 3) copy the files to sdcard 4) then reboot into recovery (CWM) 5) i remove lagfix (some say u dun need to do that, but i prefer to unlagfix, afterall, it is very easy to lagfix from CWM options) 6) Once in Clockworkmod, select “install zip from sdcard” 7) Select “choose zip from sdcard” and then select the zip file. Then choose yes 8) then it will reboot, then i choose the ULF with the ext 4 again. 9) reboot the phone. that it. What is your feedback? Worth to flash the JPD modem or stick with Doc's ROM JPO 7.6.2 modem? Thanks This post has been edited by erymanthus: Nov 16 2010, 06:11 PM |

QUOTE(Crossover @ Nov 16 2010, 06:12 PM) The tweaked launcher pro 8.1.1 is come with the package, when u 1st boot post installation, there should an option ask u to choose either ADW or Launcherpro. I bet u choose ADW at that time, and by accident, u must have choose ADW as a default. Not a big problem, u can always revert the option. This is weird, I followed your steps above. When I reboot, I only got 2 options ADW or TW Launcher....no Launcher Pro Plus...hmmm????Setting > Application > Manage Application > ADW > (look under Launch by default) clear default Then u reboot again, there should be option for ADW or Launcherpro Ya.. they remove the gallery from DOc ROm 7.6.2 due to the complaint that the sensor remain active despite closing the gallery. Hence they recommend to download the Gallery 3D from market. |

QUOTE(ken2291 @ Nov 16 2010, 06:13 PM) Did u do factory reset after u install the package?? No, I didn't do factory reset after installation....Under "Advice" on Doc's page: - If you do a factory reset after install: lancher pro, sgs tools. gallery etc will be deleted. Ya, I guess if I want I can install it from Doc's thread...I saw the launcher pro 8.1.1 add on there... Thanks, I'm having fun with Custom ROM now....die lah...cannot go back to stock ROM already... I have been running Doc's Froyo JPO 7.6.2 for a few days now.
A few feedback/ observation: 1) The speed is definitely much better than my previous DXJG4. 2) There is no battery drain as faced by some of you guys. If I leave the phone overnight when I sleep, it will only drain 1% to 2% in the morning. 3) No problems with Gallery sensor issue. I downloaded gallery 3D from market myself. 4) I use Apndroid to toggle on/off 3G...i realise that it takes longer to switch on or off the 3G as compared to my old DXJG4. Is it normal? 5) Internet browsing not as smooth as DXJG4. When I double click a webpage to resize the screen, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Don't know why? 6) Have a bit of problem with Wifi today. I go to my regular Wifi spot but couldn't connect, failed to Obtain IP address......do you guys face this problem? Will it be better if I flash the JPD modem? Thanks |

I'm currently on Doc's Froyo Rom XXJPO 7.6.2.
Am wondering whether it is worth to flash back to our Malaysia's official DXJPA. Have any of you guys tried changing from Doc's rom back to DXJPA. What is your feedback? Thanks |
