@ken2291:
U can actually do both way, odin or CWM, as the creator had kindly prepare for both platform. I just done mine with the CWM. Just wonder what the different between Harcore speedmod vI1.2-250 and Ya-OK. Anyway to test them out? This post has been edited by Crossover: Nov 11 2010, 03:42 PM |

i jz disable my lagfix from the ULF menu, then i jz flashed via the sdcard in CWM, then apply my lagfix again.
Again, wonder anyway to tell the different for Hardcore speedmod vI1.2-250 and YA-OK. Downloaded YA-OK, tempted to flashed it via odin hee... since it is OC 1.2GHz hee... QUOTE(GreenGoat @ Nov 12 2010, 12:07 AM) so far i found that factory reset mostly done when changing ROM .. not sure about kernel U r rite. Factory reset needed when u flash ROM. Kernel dun nid. this YA-OK is in tar.. can use odin ONLY to flash .tar? how bout pit n so on? Ya. When open th zip file if it contain tar mean u need to use odin, flashing kernel in odin do not need to put th PIT. However if u open th zip file tt contain th meta folder mean u can rename it to update.zip or flash fr sdcard (CWM). |

QUOTE(angel-girl @ Nov 12 2010, 10:48 AM) correct. When u boot in to the recovery mode (ie the CWM recovery mode). There is an option called apply update.zip, choose that one, then it will be ok. I jz did mine few days ago when i flashed to 7.6.2, i even did this when flashed to JPA 7.5.As mentioned earlier, if u donwloaded the zip file, when u opened it, it contain 2 folders, META-inf, system (ie the zImage), u got 2 options to exercute it from CWM after copy to ur sdcard: 1) if u do not want to change the name, then u choose 'to install from sdcard'... 2) if u rename it to update.zip, then u just choose the apply update.zip install from CWM Recovery! Not as update.zip from 2e Recovery! - mean the stock 2e recovery mode. This post has been edited by Crossover: Nov 12 2010, 10:56 AM |
