oh well because i was ex-satio user... what i can say is... smoothness sure cannot compare to iphone la...but overall still acceptable.
Camera and Video so far is superb. Internet wifi wise i think so so..well i'm not hardcore user as well, usually i leave hard core site to my pc to handle XD
music...err...okay okay la... movie? movie is quite good...plus it can direct read thumbdrive on-the-go is huge point plus  thumbup.gif

another advantages...
Gorilla glass for scratch RESISTANCE...not anti scratch...
capasitive blush.gif capacitive blush.gif  touch screen just like iphone...
Metal body....
Xenon flash...
and some nice widget shortcut for homepages.

How come need to restart to reset the ram?My n73 never restart to reset the ram o.

both have 256mb of RAM. Your RAM depletes over usage. Hence, if you reboot, you free up the RAM.
It does the same for Satio. It's not a must or necessity. It's just whether a want or not to clear up your RAM.

our n8 is upgradable or not? to symbian^4...

think it’s not yet confirmed whether the current N8 and other future Symbian^3 devices can update their self to Symbian^4. We can say that N8’s hardware has somewhat have a few points to support future OS, but basing on the  recommended requirements for Symbian OS, it is much clearly showed that ARM Cortex A8 & 128MB of DRAM were the least requirement for high tier devices, and N8 only have an ARM 11 at 680MHz but it has dedicated graphics processing unit and a 256MB RAM. Needless to say, Nokia N8’s upgradeable issue is confusing. All we should do now is wait for someone who could clear these things.
*
There's no more Symbian^4 people. Nokia is focusing on a single OS for Symbian and it is Symbian^3. They will add new feature in periodically to supported device. Someone posted the source this morning.

that really depends on usage geh, but once in a while restart your phone after a 30seconds - 1 minute shut down will have better performance...even PC also we restart from time to time mah...seldom got people leave it running for 1 month never restart one right?
not really 'still using', it's compatible...of coz more apps for N8 will be appearing, but as of now, it's still new so not much apps to use yet
*
I do leave my phone on for more than a month if battery doesn't finish. laugh.gif

is there anyway to install meego for n8?
*
real funny. you try and let us know k smile.gif
N8 is built under a more closed-source environment for Symbian unlike Nexus 1 which is capable of having it unofficially because Nexus 1 is based on Android and it's more open-source and stuff like this but if you can it's really nice, but where are you getting the swap and stuff like this. anyway, it's highly unlikely. Why would you want Meego anyway? blink.gif

my ex N73 seldom hang too just very laggy when try to open apps.

Nature of Symbian perhaps. My E65 lags too and E90 is alot better but still not good enough.
Anyway, saw you posting on a sales thread regarding Sanyo Eneloop Mobile Booster right?
I think I want to buy that. You bought? and you want to buy? smile.gif

i tot Symbian open source edi?
btw even if u get N8 with Meego, chances are it's just too slow to run it lar, ARM11 is just underpowered even if it's 680Mhz
it's not being mean, what he said is a fact, last time symbian don have much issue with hang and all, it's when they introduce S60v5 that this nightmare all started...
don bother...batch differences are normally their preinstalled firmware, and if you upgrade your firmware, it's no difference which batch you are
*
It's open-source but they are acting very "close-sourced". tongue.gif

i prefer the Nokia E71 search contact method.

You type the words in helps you find your contacts
*
That can be done only on physical keyboard mah. like N900 on homescreen just type, your contact come out.

this is something i like in N8, make searching easier biggrin.gif

I'm not sure if it's easier but it's a pretty good implementation. However after every keypress you need to check where's the alphabet position. that's the only catch.
