QUOTE(minimize @ Nov 27 2010, 05:03 PM) So how about 21:9 TV? Bro u always make us crave for the impossible !!! Pls dont make us too excited we may go crazy u know we are starved with this thing called asstro ! 21.9 wow when wld that day come Added on November 27, 2010, 6:11 pmQUOTE(THEALB10N @ Nov 27 2010, 12:06 PM) I reckon astro should start to focus on converting existing channels to widescreen. This would make them so much more bareable. I'd much rather have 1/2 the SD channels in widescreen than another 10 HD channels. What do you think? Exactly pal, Good brains are never welcomed here, if only they considered your thoughts things wld be so much different, This post has been edited by smileguy: Nov 27 2010, 06:11 PM

This is going to be a dumb question. If I wanted 2 Astro B.yond in the same house, do I need 2 receiving dish?

QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Nov 28 2010, 08:47 AM) This is going to be a dumb question. If I wanted 2 Astro B.yond in the same house, do I need 2 receiving dish? No. You only need one dish. But your installer will install special dedicated LNB [low noise block converter] (shaped like "head" on your dish), that can feed two coaxial cables on it...

QUOTE(Qash-M @ Nov 28 2010, 12:14 PM) Can't Astro just leave original feed to B.yond and MPEG2 converted for normal...? why would astro want to transmit same channel twice? byond boxes are capable of decoding both mpeg2 and mpeg4 video stream you can't improve on SD channel picture quality by simply using mpeg4 if the original source is crappy, as they said rubbish in rubbish out This post has been edited by neb: Nov 28 2010, 02:28 PM

Getting Started

dont foresee astro improving the quality of SD channels.. since their the sole entertainment provider which is the richest in content in Malaysia without any good competitor, therefore there's no reason for them to buck up or loss any customers regardless of complaints.
