If your friend do not cancel his account then you can use his b.yond because the smart card only works with that particular b.yond. Why don't you call Astro CS to upgrade to b.yond, free installation.

Not sure this is discussed before, when we change channel fr SD to HD

SD - sound can be heard tru TV speakers AND HTS speakers

-Everytime this happen i need to quickly mute the TV
-But it is a good thing if i off my HTS say watching just TV3 or any SD channel late nite, i can hear the sound from TV.

HD - no sound via TV speakers but HTS speakers only.

-Everytime this happen i need to quickly ON the HTS, if it is not ON.
-Sometimes we dont need 5.1ch to watch HD channel late at nite.

I cant seems to control the above situations.

What i want is:-

If i off my HTS i want the sound from both SD and HD channels to come out via the TV speaker.

And if i ON the HTS i do not want any sound from the TV without me having to MUTE the TV be it SD or HD channels.

All Connection are HDMI only.

Any solution?

WITHOUT MUTING, JUST TURN YOUR TV VOL. TO MINIMUM

Coming to Byond or coming to digital teresterial TV (DVB-T) like what happened in US, Singapore, HK, Seoul, Japan etc nowadays... tongue.gif
What I afraid is the project will become like RTM digital TV... Wah... talk-talk so loudly that they will do it nationwide starting on 2010, but until now, nothing happened.... Peoples who live at Klang valley also did not aware of their digital TV.... rclxub.gif

I read somewhere from the net about improving SD picture quality, try setting HDMI output to 576i on the byond box, the upscaling done by the byond box with 720p/1080i setting may degrade SD picture quality

How come we cannot have free Asian games channel in HD ? That's the problem with monopoly .... no competition.

Even China has free HD channel and China was backward only 20 years ago. doh.gif

Alternatively, you may set 'TV VOLUME' to 'OFF' in the HDMI Options of your receiver or HTS if it's available.

if u do submit now, I doubt they will even read or do anything about it until the 10 day period ends..right now, their CS really goyang kaki got 10 days cuti..but I also think u should put in application now (if can)..if u put now, maybe u will be number 23 on the list when they start processing the application after the 10 days..but if u wait for the 10days to be over first, u could be number 93!!! brows.gif
